Super excited to have Patterson Hood from the Drive-By Truckers join us to talk about Freedom! We're all pretty in love with this album. We talk about how happy we are to finally be out of the 80's records, but also how this one wouldn't be what it is without them. We talk about Neil's influence on Patterson and DBT, and how sad it is that songs written in the 60's and 70's about racial injustice are still somehow relevant today. Luke loves Don't Cry. A lot. Russ finds a way to bring up Ben Keith every 12 seconds. Mike and Patterson reminisce about shows in Richmond. We had a blast.
