Previously released on the Let's Talk Lorehammer podcast, this episode was a meeting of brilliant minds including Mark, Erik, Matt and Bob. Our discord server has undertaken a massive project this past year in its attempt to recreate our version of the Necromunda world and book, which we dubbed the Necrommunity. In this episode we work together to build a hive city from the ground up, thinking and imagining every possible facet of a hive city.

The audio was recorded remotely, and therefore is not the usual quality of Lorehammer. We thank you for your understanding!

The Aeldari have stood on the precipice of obliteration for thousands of years. As millennia pass, so too does the brilliancy that once covered the entirety of the galaxy. Doomed to extinction since their Fall some 15 thousand years ago, they have desperately held on to life for as long as possible, clawing at the skeins of fate, grasping for a future. And finally, that new future has come. Ynnead, the God of Death. Its awakening breathed new life into a race beaten down and tread upon. Its chosen priestess, Yvrainne, binds together the Aeldari, convincing them to abandon old tradition, to shake off their depression, to embrace a new path. She will usher in the destruction of the Great Enemy, She Who Thirsts. And through this, guarantee the survival of her race.

Some Chapters have a history that is detailed through the millennia with glories won, battles fought, and brothers lost. Others keep their histories a secret from prying eyes. Still others have no history to be shared at all. The Minotaurs Chapter has been an enigma since its inception, and those that attempt to uncover its secrets are met with sealed entries and misinformation.

They are often seen as little more than beasts in bronzed armor, willing to rip out the throat of their brothers once the order is given. They are set apart from the Astartes, partly their own choice, and partly because many refuse to work with them. Fresh from their victory in the Great War of Confederation, and desperate to put the sting of the Farsight Enclave behind them, the Tau prepared for war. With a new understanding that Total War was the state of the galaxy, the Tau poured more and more resources to their military arm. While most Necron live within the confines of the Dynastic Courts, there are some that don't fit, conform, or belong with the other Necron. They sit on the fringes of the Necron hierarchy, creating their own twisted courts, attempting to claim a semblance of normalcy. Some of these Necron are insane, infected by virus' more ancient and misunderstood than any sickness today. Others are completely rational and have formed guilds or clans that owe allegiance to no Dynasty; no master commands them. In this episode we'll discuss the Necron that exist outside of the Dynastic powers, whether by choice, or by expulsion.

The Dark City. A metropolis that exists everywhere, and nowhere. Danger lurks around every corner, your life threatened every second. While Commorragh might be synonymous with Kabals and Dark Eldar, there exist any number of creatures in the City. Outcasts, rebels, transients, xenos, synthetic creations... all have their own place. Tall cathedral walls rise into a black ceiling. Incense slowly falls from unseen censures to bathe your senses in holy scents. You breathe deep. Hundreds of armored figures stand in silence, creating a wall of stares attempting to pierce your very soul, constantly searching for signs of corruption.  You walk down the hall, your eyes focused on the raised dais at the end of your journey. The end of this journey, and the beginning of another. As you kneel a Chaplain pours holy anointed oil over your head. He steps back as another plants himself in front of you and intones,

"Neophyte Stefan, it is decided that today we will speak over you the oath of the Black Templars. It will be your duty to uphold and honor these words to your very death. Forsaking them is forsaking us, our Father Primarch, and the Emperor, Savior and God of Mankind. You will swear these in front of us, as witnesses, and we will hold you accountable to your immortal souls peril. Will you swear?"

You raise your head, your eyes burning with fire as the oil slowly runs down your face and neck, "I will swear."

There are many different Imperial Guard regiments in service to our great Imperium, though few have the reputation of the Death Korps. Born into service, if you can call it that, they are tenacious, reckless, and dangerous. Their entire lives are spent in the trenches of the Emperor's battles, their only release is death given in His name. They are a Cult of Sacrifice; birthed only to die, living only to kill.

This episode is all about the Death Korps of Krieg! The regiment is absolutely awesome, a perfect representation of the horror of war in the 41st millennium.

An unfortunate circumstance of the Ork race is their inability to control their tides and ebbs of power. Orks being Orky tends to unconsciously generate more Waaagh! energy around them, and Orks do love to be Orks. This has catastrophic consequences for Weirdboyz, and any other Orks around them. We hope that you haven't gone crazy yet and that you are firmly saying "No" to the voices that have begun to speak to you from the corners of your mind. But just in case you have started to talk with them, there's a few things you should know. First, always stay in character. It doesn't help anyone's immersion if you flit between personalities all the time. Secondly, the more outrageous and outlandish the accent, the better. Really try to develop these voices that are speaking to you. Create histories for them. Create memories that you can refer back to in order to shape their character. And then, when this is all over, realize that you went too far and now you have a couple friends that will always be with you... ALWAYS.

And if you said no, well that's why we're here! To offer a distraction from those pesky boredom daemons.

We last left the Tau at the end of the Second Sphere of Expansion. Stretched thin, they arrived at the Damocles Gulf, unable to cross it. In the 300 years between the 2nd and 3rd Spheres, the Tau race would be put to their greatest tests since the time of Mont'au. They would interact with three distinct races, as well as deal with their own internal problems. But the spark of hope that is the Greater Good can never go out, it will continue to shine throughout the galaxy.

While Orks seem to be an unsightly rabble of yelling green monsters, they view themselves very differently. There are strict caste systems and hierarchies within Ork Kultur that are determined by A. how big you are, and B. how useful you are. And sometimes C. how lucky you are.
