It is undeniable that there are different levels of justice served out in the United States, and the results are almost never fair, reasonable, or right. Those with the ability to game the system the best will find that sometimes the rules don’t apply to them.
The court system is overwhelmed and the scales of justice have been rigged by the powerful for decades. The poor are forced to use public defenders that are overwhelmed with unworkable caseloads while the wealthy hire teams of lawyers to negotiate favorable terms for them.
