At some point in recovery, you will experience anxiety about a relapse, especially as you make progress. Today's episode outlines 2 areas you must address when experiencing relapse anxiety. The first is the real reason for the anxiety.
Typically we resort to "fear of losing progress" or something of that nature, but if you dig a bit deeper you often find other areas that need more attention.
Secondly, we want to "fear-set" any anxiety we experience, especially when we make progress. What is the worst case scenario? How would you respond? Would you survive? Often fear-setting is exactly what is needed to give us a lift past the obstacles we're facing.
