Markus Schulz presents Global DJ Broadcast

Recognised for its influence in the radio and dance music industries, Markus Schulz's dedication and admiration for the connection between creator and listener is borne through his weekly Global DJ Broadcast journeys; accentuated through a series of dedicated themed mixes, reflecting the seasons of the calendar.

 

For the spring season, the aspect of vocal dance is laid into focus; reflected through the bond of music and words, where the vocalist is as important as the artist. Titled In Bloom to reflect the illumination of color as flowers blossom, the 2024 edition marks the eighth outing of this particular concept, and anticipation for its release grows with every passing year.

 

In Bloom is heavily influenced by pieces which have been appraised by Global DJ Broadcast listeners across the last 12 months, along with premieres to shape the remainder of 2024; and features a cast list of lyricists the community holds dear.

 

A deeply-considered reflection of vocal favorites, straddling the lines of trance, progressive and melodic techno, In Bloom 2024 by Markus Schulz is dedicated to dance music's wide community.

Ahead of the release of Reverence, alongside Daxson, along with a trip to Poland, Markus Schulz checks in with a frsh studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast. On the show, he features new music from Purple Disco Machine, Yotto, Sunlounger, Thomas Schuacher and more. In the second hour, he is joined by Miss Nine and ReDub for the guestmix, celebrating the release of their new single, Summer.

It has been a busy time in the studio recently for Markus Schulz, and he showcases two upcoming singles on the latest studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast. Available from next week will be his In Search of Sunrise 19 featured Reverence, produced with Daxson, and he also previews his big club track Ram Attack. The show also includes new music from Yotto & AVIRA, BT & Shingo Nakamura, Ferry Corsten, Estiva, Elysian and more. In the second hour, Markus is joined by KhoMha for the guestmix, celebrating the introductory offering of a special EP he has made for Coldharbour, with the first single being Ancient Voices.

 

A big doubleheader awaits Markus in the clubs this weekend, firstly on Friday, playing all night long at Joshua Brooks in Manchester, England. Then on Saturday, he will perform live at the Boogaloo Club in Zagreb, Croatia.

It continues to be one of the biggest and most important weeks in the dance music calendar, and Markus Schulz is proud to play host as an international fanbase unite to party in his home city of Miami. His open to close solo sets are cherished around the world, but there's something about being able to do it in your home area. Continuing a tradition, he took to the stage on the Saturday night of Miami Music week, holding fort at MAD Club in Wynwood; and playing through the night and into the morning for eight hours. Markus' new single alongside legendary artist Pretty Poison, Stolen, is available to stream and add to your playlist from Friday April 5. And fans in the Netherlands can catch Markus playing a special five hour set this Saturday for the Luminosity Season Opening at Beachclub Fuel in Bloemendaal.

With another Miami Music Week in the books and a busy Easter weekend on the horizon, Markus Schulz checks in from home for the latest edition of Global DJ Broadcast. On the show, he features new music from Anyma, Adina Butar, KhoMha, Joris Voorn, Eelke Kleijn and more. In the second hour, he is joined by one of the hottest producers in the scene in Estiva for the guestmix. Estiva will be joining Markus for the Luminosity Season Opening at Beachclub in the Netherlands on Saturday April 6.

 

Fans in London can catch Markus performing live at the world famous Ministry of Sound this Saturday. Note that this will be a special day party beginning at 3pm, so make sure you get there early. Direct from Thailand ahead of a tripleheader in the clubs across Asia this weekend, Markus Schulz checks in with a fresh studio edition of Global DJ broadcast, as the countdown begins to Miami Music Week. The spectacular Transmission Festival touches down in Australia this weekend, with Markus Schulz proudly part of its presentation again. Before departing for Melbourne, he checks in with another studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast; and naturally includes a play of the official event theme by Daxson, titled Elysium, which is released on Coldharbour this Friday. The show also features new music from Kyau & Albert, Stoneface & Terminal and Airwave among others. Markus is joined by rising Coldharbour talent Pavlo Vicci for the guestmix in the second hour, ahead of the release of his high tempo single Thinking of You.

Following last weekend's Coldharbour Night in Thailand, Markus Schulz returns home to Miami for a fresh studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast. On the show, he provides a showcase of his concurrent vocal and instrumental singles, Death of a Star and Forgotten Element, along with new music from Above & Beyond, Maceo Plex, Orjan Nilsen, Ferry Corsten & Marsh, Sasha and more. In the second hour, he is joined by Davey Asprey for the guestmix, premiering his upcoming Coldharbour single E.M.F.

Our first World Tour outing for 2024 has arrived, and casts a spotlight on Markus Schulz's special relationship with the annual Groove Cruise; as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Setting sail from Miami every January, the cruise sees an extensive roster of DJs in the company of thousands across a five day stretch. To mark the 20th anniversary, Markus played no less than four sets for the celebrations, including a special five hour open to close presentation on the main deck on Saturday night. The highlights from the set are available here.

 

Death of a Star by Markus and HALIENE is available to stream and support by adding to your playlists now. And Markus' first instrumental single for 2024, the In Search of Sunrise 19-created Forgotten Element, is available to stream from this Friday.

From a quiet corner aboard the Groove Cruise before setting sail from Miami, Markus Schulz checks in with the latest Global DJ Broadcast. On the show, he casts a spotlight on two of his upcoming singles, both of which featured on In Search of Sunrise 19 - Forgotten Element (available on Friday February 2) and the ISOS remix of Death of a Star. The show also features a Coldharbour world premiere from Freak E Beatz & EKE, along with new music from Elysian, Estiva, Space 92 & HI-LO and ReDub. In the second hour, Markus is joined by DIM3NSION for the guestmix, previewing his big anthem Ardora with Daxson, which is released on Coldharbour this Friday.

 

Markus is playing a total of four sets as part of the Groove Cruise 20th anniversary, including our Coldharbour stage, an open to close set on closing night, and the official afterparty at E11EVEN nightclub on Sunday morning when back on land. Next week, he is off to Asia to play the Jumpstart Festival at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on Friday February 2, and then heading to Venti nightclub in Bangkok on Saturday February 3.

Hello again, with our now traditional year-end holiday gift. Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.

 

My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed. A time to reflect on those we have lost also, and we think of Evol Waves and Stevie B-Zet (who produced as Vernon among many other names) no longer with us; it was only appropriate to pay tribute to their departures too.

 

Hope you enjoy the journey, and it's something you will want to download and keep in your collection for some time to come. Allow your mind to escape and let the memories flow. The wait is finally over, and the 19th instalment of the heralded In Search of Sunrise series has arrived. Markus Schulz proudly assumes responsibility for his sixth straight edition, and provides a comprehensive preview of what you can expect on In Search of Sunrise 19; as well as delving into the archives and showcasing memorable flashback pieces from recent and distant ISOS editions. 

 

Markus also provides showcase previews of artists participating alongside him in the inaugural edition of Transmission: Elysium, taking place in Arnhem, the Netherlands this Saturday.

Following a whirlwind weekend across Asia and a 12+ hour set at Stereo in Montreal, Markus Schulz checks back in from home in Miami for another studio edition of Global DJ Broadcast. The countdown is on to Amsterdam Dance Event, and indeed the countdown is on to the next single from The Rabbit Hole Circus, which will be Till We Fade with Emma Hewitt. A preview of that is on the show, along with new sounds from 3LAU & XIRA, Jerome Isma-Ae, P.O.S, Estiva, Tim Clark, Daxson and more; and is also joined by ZOYA for the guestmix as she makes her Coldharbour debut with Black & White this weekend. 

 

This weekend, you can catch Markus performing on Friday at Sonorama in Medellin, Colombia, and then it's back home to Florida for a night of naughtiness at Vixens in Davie on Saturday

The country of Poland is among the important legacy building blocks in Markus Schulz's career, so it's perhaps no surprise that it is the subject of the latest instalment in his World Tour series. Performing a signature eight hour open to close solo set live from X-Demon nightclub in Wroclaw, the highlights of the night are available in the latest podcast.

 

It's a busy and extensive weekend for Markus ahead, playing at Mantra in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday, before heading to the Heineken Silver Music Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Saturday. And on Sunday night into Monday morning, the special Canadian Thanksgiving tradition continues with an open to close solo set at the legendary Stereo in Montreal.
