As Marvel Studios shifts from Phase Four to Phase Five, it’s time to address the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this episode, we discuss how enthusiastic we are about the MCU’s recent past and present, the varying levels of success throughout Phase Four, fan expectations, and whether or not the MCU is running out of steam, as some have argued. We also look to the future to explore how the MCU may evolve, in and outside of the story, as The Multiverse Saga continues!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Marvel Studios is promising the beginning or a new dynasty and we are ready for it after the latest trailer for Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania! Jonathan Majors looks incredible as Kang in a film that not only launches Phase 5, but sets the tone for The Multiverse Saga. It’s not the sort of space we usually see the Ant-Man franchise occupy, but that’s a good thing, especially when the emotional core of the series remains intact as the story expands. We break it all down here!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.

Ribbit and rip it, indeed! Leapfrog makes his long-awaited MCU debut in the latest She-Hulk: Attorney at Law! Oh, and Daredevil is here as well, which is pretty cool. Things have been going pretty well for Jennifer Walters. She’s got a great job. She’s starting to love being a superhero even if that’s not she originally wanted. She just won the right to keep the name that she learned to love, She-Hulk. What does she need to do next? Learn that “Just Jen” is just as amazing as She-Hulk. Let’s discuss!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Titania returns as a literal show-stealer in “Mean, Green, and Straight Poured into These Jeans.” Jameela Jamil is sensational as the nemesis who (unwittingly) helps Jennifer Walter discover that she not only likes, but loves being She-Hulk. Let’s talk about all of that and the Avongers!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Is this not real magic? The MCU’s next great duo, Wongers and Madisynn, are here with an unparalleled mastery of the mystic arts. Travel with us to a diff dimensh in this spoiler review!

“The People vs. Emil Blonsky” takes She-Hulk: Attorney at Law into true television comedy format with A and B stories that connect with mostly good, but sometimes mixed results. The episode is at its best with Jennifer Walters giving Emil Blonsky the fair parole hearing he deserves, while the biggest laughs come from the series trolling its trolls. Just perfect.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law continues with “Superhuman Law,” an outstanding follow-up to a fantastic first episode. This installment delivers big laughs as it brings The Incredible Hulk back into the MCU fold in entertaining fashion. Better still, all of the fun is buoyed by the compelling character arc of Jennifer Walters. She may not want to be a superhero, but that’s just who she is. Let’s discuss!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
The first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is here and "A Normal Amount of Rage" has given way to an overabundance of joy! There is only one word we need to describe No Normal, the Ms. Marvel season finale. Hint: it starts with an "M." No, not that one. It's magic. Absolute magic, if we get two words. We break it all down here, including that other M-word and the mid-credit cameo.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
“Time and Again” has our hosts torn between two halves of Ms. Marvel’s penultimate episode. The journey to the past is a magical love story while the flash forward to the present rushes things with mixed results. The resolution of that eternal struggle between mothers and daughters, however, carries this installment to a strong finish. Let’s discuss!
Thor returns and The Mighty Thor debuts in the last Marvel Studios feature film that’s drawing a somewhat more divisive reaction than we normally see. That’s true here as one host loves the movie while another isn’t quite so over the moon. In any event, it’s time to break it all down, HERE AND NOW!

Ms. Marvel is “Destined” for greatness with a third episode that is even better than the fantastic first two. The mythology around Kamala Khan and her powers is getting bigger, but the emotional core of this story remains firmly rooted in family. This story has tons of heart and we love it.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.

Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
“Ronin” maintains the high-quality momentum Hawkeye has been building through 5 episodes now, on our way to what should be a fantastic finale! Florence Pugh is back and as charismatic as ever as Yelena, who confronts Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) with difficult truths and questions about Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner). Speaking of Barton, he’s doing his best to protect his family while trying desperately to get through to Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). We break down all of that and the arrival of another fan favorite in this spoiler review!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
It was everything we thought it could be and so, so much more. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a special film that feels destined to take its place alongside the very best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man movies, and all of superhero cinema. Only time and repeat viewings will tell, but we’ll go ahead and start now by breaking down every amazing detail (or most of them, at least) in this spectacular story!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Partners, am I right? Another week, another stellar episode of Hawkeye as Clint “CB1” Barton and Kate Bishop continue to develop their partnership and friendship. Strengthening those bonds, however, increases the emotional risk to go with the physical danger our heroes find themselves in. We break down how beautifully this episode handles all of that rich character work, and ugly sweaters, in this spoiler review!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
“Echoes” is an instant classic that belongs in the conversation for the best Marvel Studios episodes on Disney+ this year. It’s hilarious. It’s action-packed. It moves like it’s being chased by the Tracksuit Mafia in a ’72 Challenger. All of that is cool enough, but it’s the pauses for the emotional, heartstring-pulling moments that make this installment one of the all-time greats.
It’s so much of what we love most about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, all rolled into a single episode and we are delighted to break it all down!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Hide and seek? More like prepare for trial by (LARP) combat in episode 2 of Hawkeye! Clint Barton and Kate Bishop are fast friends, as far as Kate's concerned. The Tracksuit Mafia is after our heroes as items on the Barton Family Christmas To-Do List are checked off. We break it all down Ninja Style in this spoiler review!
Never meet your heroes, unless your name is Kate Bishop and your hero is Clint Barton. Then, meeting your hero might save your life. Hawkeye has arrived on Disney+ with Jeremy Renner finally getting proper focus in the MCU and Hailee Steinfeld turning in an outstanding debut. We break it all down and pay tribute to PIzza Dog in our spoiler review of the series premiere!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Sony made a big event out of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer premiere and for good reason. It is quite a trailer, revealing (at least) 5 villains from Spidey’s multi-era movie history that are now in the MCU. Doctor Strange seemingly offers a morally ambiguous solution, setting the stage for a philosophical, physical, and metaphysical confrontation with our friendly neighborhood hero.
We break down all that we see (and don’t see) in a trailer that made the wait until December 17 feel just a bit longer.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Disney+ Day 2021 has come and gone without making nearly the impact that it could have. Fans and investors were disappointed by the lack new, concrete information about upcoming projects and when we can expect to see them. There were also plenty of repeat announcements from previous marketing events with little or nothing added. The Twitter thread presentation method also left much to be desired.
But it wasn’t all bad and our disappointment about Disney+ Day does not reflect our feelings about what will eventually come to the streaming platform from Marvel Studios. That’s just the first half hour of the show.
We’re still very, very excited about Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Echo, Ironheart, Agatha: House of Harkness, Secret Invasion, Armor Wars, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, X-Men ’97, What If…? Season 2, Loki Season 2, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and I Am Groot. We’ll see about Marvel Zombies.
We share our thoughts based on what we know about these projects and discuss Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reshoots and additional photography in this episode!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Much has been said and written about Eternals, but now, it's our turn. We break down Eternals, diving deep into its themes and epic ethical dilemmas on a cosmic scale before examining each of the MCU's newest heroes (and antagonists). We also discuss one of the best combinations of mid and post-credits scenes with which Marvel Studios has blessed us.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Marvel Studios has updated its movie release calendar for the umpteenth time in the past 18 months. We'll have to wait a little longer to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with corresponding delays to the rest of the slate. Of course, in a time when new MCU stories are in theaters or on Disney+ as frequently as we see them now, it's hard to be that mad about it.
Instead, we're looking forward to Disney+ Day as Sean shares his Top 5 hopes and dreams for what we might see/hear/learn from Marvel Studios on November 12.
Hosted by Sean Gerber.
What if The Watcher broke his oath? The Guardians of the Multiverse would be born! All of the season’s heroes (and villains) come together in a battle for the fate of not just one universe, but all of them. As one story ends, it feels as though others are only beginning, including a potential Captain Carter spinoff. We break down the season finale in this spoiler review! Viva Las Vegas!
It's one of the biggest mid-credits scenes in superhero movie history, so let's talk about it! We share our thoughts on that last-minute reveal in Venom: Let There Be Carnage!
Venom and Eddie Brock are back, creating and confronting Carnage! Venom: Let There Be Carnage is lighting up the box office but is it any good? How does this sequel build on the flawed foundation of the first film? We examine these questions, that mid-credits scene, and more in this spoiler review! Don't worry, we'll have even more to say about the mid-credits scene in another episode coming soon.
What if Ultron won? Continuity would take a retroactive beating, that’s for sure. What we would also see, though, is a compelling story that amplifies Ultron’s threat level as he becomes aware of universes beyond his own. The Watcher is okay with observing the destruction of one universe at a time, but what about the entire multiverse? It may be time to act. We break it all down in this spoiler review!
What if Thor were an only child? All rules, including those pertaining to Mjolnir, would go out the window! As troubling as that may be for the keepers of the canon, it’s still a really fun party when Thor, Grandmaster (with foam), Darcy, Loki, Howard the Duck, and others are around. Plus, we get an epic, globe-spanning battle between Captain Marvel and the Par-Tay Prince! We break it all down in this spoiler review!
What if Killmonger rescued Tony Stark? Killmonger would have achieved his goals in record time. Michael B. Jordan is back as a version of Erik Stevens whose plans are accelerated via a key piece of information that allows him to save and gain the trust of the man who, in this timeline, would never become Iron Man. We break down this incredible episode, featuring another wonderful vocal performance from Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther, in this spoiler review!
What if Earth's Mightiest Heroes became the Undead's Mightiest Heroes? There would still be Hope, and a vlog. We break down the latest episode of the Marvel Studios animated series, which gave us a new Avengers lineup we loved, and some other things we didn't. Plus, more thoughts on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings has dazzled critics and audiences while breaking records at the box office. Suffice to say, we get it. All of the praise and every penny earned are well-deserved. It's the most creatively ambitious franchise debut we've seen in the MCU, with the excellence in execution to match. We break down this extraordinary film in our spoiler review.
What if Doctor Strange lost his heart instead of his hands? That whole "it's not about you" lesson wouldn't really stick. This Doctor Strange is indeed the Sorcerer Supreme, but the absolute power to break absolute points in time corrupts absolutely. We break down the shattering of a mind and a universe in this spoiler review!
Here is our non-spoiler review of the spectacular Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings! You can help kids see this phenomenal Marvel Studios film by contributing to and/or sharing the campaigns below!
What if Fury's Big Week completely disrupted The Avenger(s) Initiative? Nick Fury believes in heroes and he's going to need that belief more than ever in a timeline where hope seems lost. We break down the complete reshaping of arguably the most eventful week in Marvel Cinematic Universe history in this spoiler review!
What if T'Challa became a Star-Lord? He would change the universe and the people in it! The second episode of What If...? is a beautiful celebration of Chadwick Boseman's portrayal of T'Challa, showcasing the best aspects of the character we already knew and loved while expanding our understanding of this remarkable hero. We break it all down in this spoiler review!
What if Captain Carter were The First Avenger? It would be brilliant! The Marvel Cinematic Universe is presented in animated form for the very first time, and it's a huge success thanks to head writer A.C. Bradley, director Bryan Andrews, and Peggy Carter herself, Hayley Atwell! Join us as we break down this incredible story that celebrates the hero Peggy Carter always was, now with a cool costume and fantastic shield-wielding to match!
Sean shares his non-spoiler thoughts on the first three episodes of Marvel Studios' What If...? on Disney+!
Loki may have concluded its first season, but the story is far from over. We discuss highlights from Marvel Studios' Assembled: The Making of Loki before examining the far-reaching effects the series is sure to have on the MCU. The Marvel Cinematic Multiverse is here with numerous implications on several upcoming movies and series.
We look at What If...?, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Loki season 2, Fantastic Four, and anywhere else Kang the Conqueror and/or the multiverse may factor in. We also answer your questions and gaze further into a future that may include mutants and Secret Wars!
Sometimes, fan theories pan out! The season finale of Loki really has changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever, ushering in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse! It also delivered a new antagonist, whom we expect to see plenty of next season, and in feature films from Marvel Studios. As big as the implications may be, what makes this episode truly special is its ability to expand the serialized narrative in an intimate, emotional episode in which character is what's truly sacred.
Black Widow is finally here and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is back in theaters (and on Disney+ with Premier Access)! We look at every intricate detail of what is likely Scarlett Johansson's final turn as Natasha Romanoff. It's an incredible send-off that also passes the baton to the phenomenal Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova. Director Cate Shortland has delivered an exceptional film full of raw emotion, visceral action, a unique brand of humor, and tons of heart that we find while digging through the dysfunction of Natasha's first family.
Two words: Alligator Loki! Of course, we have many more words to say about the best episode of Loki yet. The penultimate chapter sets the stage for a grand finale as we journey into the mystery of The Void. There's a Boastful Loki, a Classic Loki, a Kid Loki, a President Loki, and the aforementioned gator. Then there's the Loki we've been following this whole series and the former Loki, Sylvie! They collide in a story that deepens our understanding of the title character and furthers the central themes of this brilliant series. All that, plus the return of Miss Minutes and a glimpse in the direction of where we'll head next! We cover it all in this spoiler review!
The fourth episode of Loki was an absolute stunner. The emotional exploration of Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius was enough for this installment to match the previous three. Then, the last 15 minutes changed everything, with twists and turns that reset our understanding of the Time Variance Authority and the very nature of reality as they've explained (or lied about) it to us. It didn't stop there, however, as we got one of the best tags in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Marvel Studios and Natasha Romanoff make a triumphant return to the big screen in Black Widow, a psychological spy thriller that is deeply emotional and packed with big action set pieces unlike anything in the MCU before! Director Cate Shortland, stars Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh, and the entire cast and crew have turned in an outstanding film. Sean shares his completely spoiler-free thoughts in this review!
It's time to meet Sylvie in the third episode of Loki on Disney+! Stranded on a doomed moon, Loki and Sylvie must find a way to escape the apocalypse if they ever hope to catch up with the Time-Keepers. Speaking of the three space lizards, Sylvie knows something about the Time Variance Authority that Loki didn't, bringing everything Miss Minutes told him (and us) into question. This chapter goes big on action, but never at the expense of character, with Loki and Sylvie getting to know each other a little better so they're not just strangers on a train to Shuroo.
We break down the episode in complete, spoilery detail after first sharing some thoughts on the new trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings!
The episode that was released on 6/16 just broke the MCU's 616 - the Sacred Timeline! The Variant has revealed themselves in the second episode of Loki, but the credits suggest not all is what it seems. What else is new? Meanwhile, Loki and Mobius have a couple of key chats that dig deeper into the series' larger themes about identity and free will. Who are we? Do we even have the ability to choose our own answer to that question? We can't answer those questions in a single podcast, but we can appreciate Loki's exploration of them, and we do in this podcast!
The spoiler reviews return as we begin a brand new Marvel Studios series on Disney+! Loki starts off strong with the best premiere episode of any MCU series thus far. The God of Mischief's escape from the Battle of New York landed him in even worse trouble than he faced in the "Sacred Timeline." The Time Variance Authority doesn't mess around. Don't let the sweet Miss Minutes or disarming Mobius fool you. The TVA decides who you get to be and they have the power to keep you on the path they believe is right.
Loki is days away from premiering on Disney+ and we can't wait! To help pass the time, we share two installments of the Patreon-exclusive Marvelous Moments podcast series highlighting a pair of Loki's best moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! First up is Loki's arrival in The Avengers, followed by "Get Help" from Thor: Ragnarok. We close the show with the (likely incomplete) list of categories to keep in mind this year for the MCU Fan Awards!
3:30 Marvelous Moments - The Avengers
21:02 Marvelous Moments - Thor: Ragnarok
38:38 MCU Fan Awards category announcement
It hasn't been 7,000 years, but it's been a long wait for the first Eternals teaser trailer. Marvel Studios has finally given us a glimpse of what director Chloé is bringing to the MCU and we are impressed. The Oscar winner has certainly brought her own style and vision, capturing so much Marvel movie magic in camera. Meanwhile, this cast appears more than ready to meet the challenge of getting the audiences to connect with this new crop of obscure characters. We break it all down and speculate on what we may ultimately see in the final film!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is set for an exclusive theatrical run. It'll be the first Marvel Studios film to have one in over two years. China, however, is not guaranteed to be part of Shang-Chi's theatrical release and Eternals faces its own challenges in that market. Kevin Feige is committed to Marvel with no eyes on Star Wars (outside of the one film he's producing). We discuss this news and the possibility of seeing What If...? in August!
We finish up our coverage of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (for now) with a breakdown of what we learned behind the scenes on Marvel Studios' Assembled. We also look at Marvel Studios' celebration of the movies and preview of the future that is promised to be worth the wait in Phase 4. This includes our thoughts on the first footage from Eternals, what Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Marvels mean as sequel titles for Black Panther and Captain Marvel, and James Gunn wrapping up his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy with Vol. 3 premiering almost nine years after the first installment!
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has come to an end while giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a new beginning with a new Captain America! Sam Wilson is the hero we need, now and in the future as he inspires us to do better. Count Bucky Barnes among those who've been inspired as he hopes to make amends and let go of The Winter Soldier. We discuss what it all means for our title characters, plus Isaiah Bradley, John Walker, don't call her Val (just keep it in your head), and Sharon Carter in this 200th episode!
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier continues to get better and better with an episode that lives up to its title, "Truth." John Walker has stained the shield with blood. It's time for Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes to take it back. Of course, not all marks on the shield can be wiped away as Sam continues to contemplate his own potential future as the new Cap and what that would mean.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier delivered its fourth and finest episode (so far). Does the end justify the means? That question is asked and debated several times in this installment, showing us who these characters are and what they really stand for. Sam Wilson once again proves what makes him a hero the world needs while John Walker fails to uphold the legacy of Captain America in shocking ways. We discuss the ethical questions raised by this episode, Zemo singing, the brilliance of Erin Kellyman as Karli Morgenthau, a powerful moment for Bucky, the Dora Milaje, and where the series will go from here!
His name is Zemo and he finally gets his proper title and mask in the latest episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier! The man who tore The Avengers apart is now the only lead Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes have as they try to uncover the truth behind the latest Super Soldier Serum. That's not all, however, as there are two more MCU returns in this episode, one more surprising than the other. Also, who is the Power Broker? We break it all down scene-by-scene, as we always do!
There's a new Captain America! He just isn't the one we wanted. We meet John Walker in the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We also see Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes team up for the first time in this series. They're off to Munich in pursuit of the Flag Smashers, who may not be quite what they seem. What Sam and Bucky learn leads to the revelation of a huge secret that stretches across the history of the MCU and is sure to have a major impact on this series. All of that, an archvillain name-drop, and more are broken down in this spoiler review!
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has arrived on Disney+ and we're ready to break down the first episode, "New World Order." Sam Wilson struggles with feeling like the Captain America shield still belongs to someone else, in more ways than one. Bucky Barnes has his own challenges in trying to make amends for his actions as The Winter Soldier. We cover every moment, including the potential arrival of a new superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is almost here and we've got a non-spoiler review of the first episode. Good news: it's awesome! Following the review, John Scheker returns to the podcast to help us curate a list of the moments that made the MCU!

The moments that made the MCU discussion begins at 12:05.
Now that we know the whole story, it's time to see how the creators brought WandaVision to life. We review Marvel Studios' Assembled: The Making of WandaVision before looking back on the series and sharing some final thoughts (for now). This includes a look at some of the bigger fan theories that didn't pan out, like Evan Peters not being Pietro from Fox's X-Men universe, and the reaction to what the story was versus what some thought it could be. Wanda Maximoff examined her grief and her relationship with escapism. Now, we examine our own relationship with our preferred source of escapism, the MCU, and discuss not falling in love with speculation at the expense of the story being told.
This is it: the series finale of WandaVision! All remaining questions are answered, and a few new ones are created, naturally. Wanda Maximoff battles Agatha Harkness. Monica Rambeau takes on Fietro. Vision confronts Vision. The fate of Wanda, her family, Westview, and much more are all at stake in this epic, emotional conclusion to one of the greatest stories the MCU has ever told. We break it all down, and finally meet The Scarlet Witch in this podcast!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
It's been Agatha all along! Our latest WandaVision spoiler takes us through the traumatic and tragic journey of Wanda Maximoff. Agatha Harkness is after the secrets of The Hex that she hopes will be revealed by Wanda's truth. In the process, we get expected and unexpected answers to some of the biggest questions of this series. As always, new questions come up as the stage is set for what should be an epic finale. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though, and instead take the time to appreciate this episode as a true Marvel Masterpiece.
WandaVision is breaking the fourth wall (again, technically) as things break down inside of Westview. Wanda and Vision are apart, emotionally and physically, with unexpected obstacles standing in the way of reconciliation. Dr. Darcy Lewis and SWORD operatives are getting acclimated to the circus of their new reality. Agnes is on babysitter duty for Billy and Tommy. Monica Rambeau continues to impress with empathy and heroism that have made her rookie run one of the best in MCU history! We cover it all along the way to some fresh speculation over how it may all end in this spoiler review!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
What's the deal with Pietro? Wanda Maximoff's dearly departed brother is back, sort of, but she has doubts and so do we! Meanwhile, Vision is ready to turn his skepticism and worry into a full-blown investigation. Outside of Westview, Monica Rambeau, Jimmy Woo, and Darcy Lewis are battling against Acting Director Hayward over the best way for SWORD to approach Wanda and The Hex. Billy and Tommy, naturally, are caught in the middle! Let's keep the spoiler reviews going!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
That escalated quickly! On a very special episode of WandaVision, worlds are colliding and, naturally, breaking down! SWORD believes it has a better grasp of what's going on inside the Westview Anomaly, but we know all is not what it seems. We can't even trust what's happening on the "real world" side of the MCU. All we can do is dive deep into the heavy emotional impact of this episode and marvel at a few more shocking revelations!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
"We Interrupt This Program" to bring you a spoiler review of a WandaVision episode (mostly) set outside of Westview! Marvel Studios shocked us with that cold open, but that wouldn't be the last time this week. Enter Monica Rambeau and the Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division, better known as SWORD! We also meet Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis for the first time, officially, in this series. The investigation is underway and it's nice to know we're not the only ones asking so many questions. We can see on the other side of the curtain now and Episode 4 offers some answers, but are they telling the whole story? We don't think so.
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.

We got something cooking and it's looking good! WandaVision just gets better and better with the series' third episode, "Now In Color!" Wanda Maximoff is pregnant, Vision can't help but feel something is wrong, and Geraldine (Monica Rambeau) is investigating! It all leads to one of the best scenes in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We break it all down and reexamine our theories through the new lens provided by this astonishing episode of Marvel Studios' first Disney+ series!
Hosted by Sean Gerber and Paul Hermann.
Two episodes of WandaVision means two spoilers reviews this week! In this podcast, we break down the second chapter of Marvel Studios' first Disney+ series. Wanda just wants to fit in. Vision is eager to help. We meet even more residents of Westview, all of whom are in a fundraising mood. It's all "for the children!"

We will be reviewing every episode of the Marvel Studios original series in full, spoilery detail! We begin, naturally, with our analysis of the first installment. We are honored to be joined by Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park for this very special episode. Marvel's Visual Development Team has been a driving creative force behind the MCU. Andy talks to us about what it's like to be at the wheel, leading the team on projects like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thor: Ragnarok, Captain Marvel, WandaVision, and Black Widow (just to name a few).
In addition to leading his team, Andy is also one of the greatest concept artists of all time (our words, not his). Hear him share his insight on designing some of the MCU's most iconic characters including Ant-Man, The Wasp, Captain Marvel, Hela, and Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch. Andy also shares what he can about Natasha Romanoff's new suits in her upcoming film, plus Taskmaster!
Be sure to follow Andy Park on Instagram and Twitter, and subscribe to his YouTube channel!

It's our seventh and final episode covering Disney Investor Day 2020! We cover all of the post-2021 feature film announcements from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. We discuss Marvel and director Ryan Coogler's decision not to recast the role of T'Challa in Black Panther 2 after Chadwick Boseman's passing. We also look at some of the options for how this franchise can move forward while honoring Boseman's legacy.
We also examine key questions coming out of the investor presentation. What are we still not hearing about in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? Who is Gorr the God Butcher, the villain Christian Bale will bring to life in Thor: Love and Thunder? What does Captain Marvel 2 have in common with another Captain's sequel? What new opportunity does Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have that no other Ant-film has been afforded? What will Jon Watts bring to Fantastic Four? All of this, plus Blade, covered in this episode!

Our Disney Investor Day 2020 coverage shifts to the big screen with the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film slate! We didn't learn much about Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Eternals that we didn't already know, but there was one announcement we didn't see for any of these titles. Premier Access on Disney+ was not announced for any MCU movies, but we'll explain why it's still a possibility in 2021, and beyond.
We also look at a title that wasn't part of the investor presentation. It's time to catch up on all of the news and rumors surrounding Spider-Man 3 (or whatever the movie is eventually called)!

We remember the life and celebrate the legacy of Chadwick Boseman - our Black Panther, our Hero, our King.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken us on a collective journey from one film to the next, all the way through the Infinity Saga (and it will continue beyond that). As fans, it brings us great joy to share these experiences, and yet we each have our own unique stories of how we found this franchise in the first place, and how it has moved us during the time we've spent with it.
Every fan has their story to tell and we're going to start hearing them on the podcast. We begin with Maya, who's been following the franchise since Iron Man, but felt her enthusiasm for the MCU elevated by a different Marvel Studios movie.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has come to an end after seven seasons on ABC. On this episode, we examine the legacy of the show from the "Coulson Lives" campaign and series premiere (which was a big deal in 2013) to the show's two endings, and all of the successes and struggles in between. We also look at where the show fits within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's a good thing we have multiple timelines now!

Marvel Studios has found an outstanding director for Captain Marvel 2 in Nia DaCosta. Sean explains why he's excited to see what DaCosta will bring to the franchise in its next installment. Then, screenwriter and Forbes contributor Mark Hughes joins the show to discuss the news of Mulan going to Disney+ instead of theaters in many markets. Is this a sign of things to come? Will Black Widow follow in Mulan's footsteps? Probably.

The Black Lives Matter movement is vital if our society is ever going to offer true equality for all. Overcoming systemic racism means examining our own complicity, regardless of our intent. In this episode, Sean Gerber looks at how fandom has contributed to systemic oppression by trying to artificially separate social commentary from entertainment in order to silence the conversations we should be having. The MCU and its fans have not been immune to this. We can and must do better if we are to say the stories and heroes of the MCU offer more than a disposable distraction from the real world. It's time for us to be true to the thematic core of the MCU. It's time to reflect, learn, hold ourselves accountable, and grow.
There may be a shortage of news right now, but there are always plenty of questions surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe! How should the X-Men and mutants be added into the MCU? Should Galactus be the next big bad? Is Thor set for another trilogy? What are our favorite moments in each phase of The Infinity Saga? These listener questions and more are answered in this episode!

Disney and Marvel Studios, as of this moment, are still planning to release Black Widow in theaters. That's the plan right now, but plans always have the potential to change. This week, we explore the different factors Disney may look at and how VOD and Disney+ could, at some point, become a more attractive option, even for a film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We also look at how Marvel Studios could use Disney+ to have its own virtual Hall H panels without San Diego Comic-Con.

Disney and Marvel Studios have pulled Black Widow from its May 1 release date and suspended all active productions due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). These include Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki right now, but even more upcoming productions could be impacted. Obviously, none of these impacts are of primary concern with respect to COVID-19, but they are signs of how our way of life has changed for the time being and it's okay for fans to feel disappointed. This news, of course, is relevant to this podcast, so host Sean Gerber delivers his full analysis of these stories and more in this episode.
