Close your eyes,


And ease into comfort. 


PAUSE


Find your breath,


And settle into its slow, 


Soothing rhythm.


PAUSE


Feel the gentle cadence of your body expanding as you breathe in,


And contracting as you breathe out. 


Expanding,


Contracting.


Slowing down your breath just a bit,


With every gentle cycle. 


LONG PAUSE


Now imagine yourself reaching out,


And grabbing the hands that are in front of you,


The hands that hold the fear,


That has swirled around in your mind,


And body. 


PAUSE


You’ve wanted to run away from it,


Or pretend it wasn’t there.


But now, as your hands connect,


You realize you’re meant to be here,


Dancing with your fear.


LONG PAUSE


Feel the jagged edges of its fingers,


The fire in its chest.


PAUSE


The vibrations of its breath may be scary at first, 


But just be here,


And tune in…


There is something for you here. 


LONG PAUSE


Allow yourself to be here,


Present in this dance with fear.


Knowing that all you need to do,


Is to move with it, 


Feel it, 


And guide it.
