In today’s episode I speak with Tahnee Motti about her motherhood journey, in particular her battle with hyperemesis gravidarum and the significant impact this had on her mental health.
After suffering from hyperemesis in her first pregnancy Tahnee knew there was the potential for it to occur again when she fell pregnant next, and she was right except this time it was so much worse.
Tahnee dives deep into this traumatic time of her life discussing some of her darkest days including suffering from insomnia, being admitted into the perinatal mental health unit, commencing psychiatric drugs whilst pregnant & how she survived her pregnancy. T
his episode is a real eye opener on some of the impacts hyperemesis can have not only our physical health but also emotional health. If you are someone who may need support some great resources available are PANDA, hyperemesis Australia & beyond blue.
