In today's episode our host Mon speaks with Sam Brodrick about her motherhood journey. Sam always knew she wanted to be a mother and at the age of 28 decided that she didn't need a partner or to wait any longer she was ready to take on this journey by herself.
Sam talks us through intrauterine insemination and her solo parenting journey. We hope that this episode provides insight into this topic but also starts a positive conversation for any women who may be considering going down the IUI or IVF process solo.
Defined by Monash IVF- Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) - is a procedure aimed to help the sperm inseminate the uterus. It's one of the simpler and less invasive treatment options available to help you have a baby. It increases the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes. The more sperm that reach the tubes - the greater the chance of fertilisation.
