Middee | Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Education
In today's Episode Mon sits down to unpack the different types of models of care available to pregnant women in Australia specifically within the public system. Ranging from standard midwifery based care, one to one midwifery, obstetric led care & GP shared care.
Over the last three years Mon came to the realisation when seeing women antenatally and asking them what type of model of care they wanted to participate in, It was far too often that women would have no idea about the types of models available to them.
Mon shares with us some of the pros and cons of each model of care including how to make the right choice for you about your antenatal care provider.
As mentioned in this episode some hospitals may have their own type of models of care which may be referred to by a different name. Therefore it's important to always check with your healthcare provider.
