Professional organizer, Elise Hay joins me for today’s conversation all about involving kids in the organizing process. While there may be some benefit to organizing without your children, the negative of tackling this task solo is that your child misses out on the growth experience. There is a feeling of reward associated with accomplishment and, it’s my belief that our children should partake in some of that with us. Handling the decluttering for them isn’t necessarily doing them a favor, on the flip side, it may actually do a disservice to you both. By involving your children in the organizing process, you’re enabling them to be more mindful of the items they own.
