Hello Friends! Today on the show we're journeying to 1967, with Aretha Franklin's 1st LP for Atlantic, the classic I Never Loved a Man The Way I Loved You. Kick starting her career on the new label, the album included both the title cut and huge hit 'Respect', but the album us full of many other equally fantastic cuts - including a few Aretha originals. But most importantly to us, there's a surprising amount of differences between the mono and stereo LPs, with some very fine tuned mixing decisions occurring, leading to parts missing in some mixes that are present in others. In the end, I will say this is no tie - only one mix reigns supreme - but join me on my Soul Serenade to find out...
Happy Listening,
Frederick
