Music geekery is at the heart of this week's edition. Over the years, time and time again I have come across songs that left me thinking… "Wait… there’s a melody in this chorus or this solo that really reminds me of another song… but I can’t quite put my finger on it…" And every time I’d play that song the same question would pop in my head at that same chorus or solo! I’m sure you’re all familiar with that feeling. Here's a playlist featuring pairs of songs, usually a jazz and pop or rock song, which, to my delight, I was able to connect because of what seem to be short and random similarities… at least to my ears!
The playlist features Jovanotti; Sarah Tandy; The Rolling Stones; Kevin Eubanks, Orrin Evans; Duke Ellington; Paolo Conte; Charles Mingus; Sting; Dionne Warwick; Lee Ritenour.

Happy listening!
