Over the course of two years in the early 1970s, Santa Rosa, California, was terrorized by an unidentified serial killer. He was dubbed the "Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Killer" because his victims were girls and young women that had been hitchhiking. The killer was never identified but suspects were plentiful including the infamous Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy.
