In this series, Sandy looks at some of the false teaching in the church during the time this series was recorded. Many of these teachings are not only still being used today but have grown due to the inaction of true believers in Jesus. Sandy discusses why their teachings are false and how to discern the truth from the error.  In this series, Sandy answers the questions: 

1.       What are the areas of discernment are being discussed?

2.       Why is discernment imperative for a believer?

3.       What must discernment be based on?

4.       How do we practically discuss the issues to understand errors when confronted with them?

At the end of the series, Sandy will look at some of the false teachers that were active during the time and call out their error for you to understand what to look for when you hear it.

This is a recorded video series from 1999. Each week’s message is taken from the Discernment Toolkit DVD study series that can be found on Sandy’s website and may contain two or more separate teachings from each DVD.

This week takes three segments from the Sandy’s Discernment Toolkit. This week, Sandy introduces the study and the areas of discernment with which the series will deal. In the second segment, Sandy discusses how to discern the false teachings used to mislead Christians in the church. He talks about the eleven false methods people use to discern reality and truth in the church. The third segment involves comparing a teachers message with the Scriptures especially in the five core doctrines of the Christian faith: Trinity, Jesus, Second Coming, Salvation, Scriptures.
