Welcome to a special two-part episode about Loretta Lynn!
This week we discuss Loretta's early life, before she became a famous country musician. Loretta grew up in the mountains of Kentucky, in a special place called Butcher Holler. Based on her book: Coal Miner's Daughter, we dive into Loretta's upbringing, her marriage at a very young age, becoming a mother and her musical inspirations.
Expect to hear some of Loretta's most popular songs, and get to know how a woman with a fourth grade education became a grand-mother at age 29 and then began a musical career that would last well into 6 decades.
Stay tuned for Part 2 coming August 6th!
