Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we continue to pray through our Advent 2020 prayers. Today we are reading out of Ephesians 4:3-6 which says "3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
"This verses says we called to one God who is over all and through all and in all. He is everywhere. He knows everything. We sometimes get so worried with the things we cannot control. This is my number one problem. Our worries come from lack of control. But if we just switched the focus to taking care of what we can control, we would be much happier.
What if instead of worrying about the What Ifs in life, we started worrying about how we react to situations, what we put in our bodies, how we speak to others, what we do with our time, how we spread our faith. That is everything I can control. You will have more peace, in your every day life which in return will grant you more joy.
So take this and hold onto it this weekend. Remember as emotions fly and things begin to happen, can you control the outcome? No then bring it to peace and give it to Him. He is already over it, through it and in it."
