Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 Kings 8:28 which says “Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”

"This verse does say something that I hope we can all take away. It says, give attention to your servant’s prayer. Key word, servant. The question we have to ask ourselves everyday is how are we serving God today? Or are we just demanding for answered prayers? I hope we leading by example in our our lives. We need to ask ourselves, how are we serving Him? Are we serving His people? Giving of our talents and treasure. Are we lending an ear or a hand? Are we keeping our souls pure?

I do believe that it is by grace and through grace alone, so we don’t have to act a certain way to get an answered prayer, but I do also believe that we reap what we sow and I pray we are always vigilant of what kind of seeds we put in the ground. I know faith is the best kind of seed because no matter what we face, with faith we can move mountains. So exercise your faith today, cry out to God and He will respond. He hears your cries. "
