Interview With "The Last Of The Sea Women" Director Sue Kim

"The Last Of The Sea Women" had its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received strong reviews and was named the winner of the NETPAC Prize. The film takes a look at the haenyeo, a dwindling community of women in Jeju, South Korea, who dive into the ocean to harvest seafood for their communities. Director Sue Kim was kind enough to spend some time speaking with us about her work on the film, which you can listen to below.
