The director of a private learning center for children with “learning disabilities” before going into private practice, Mariaemma turned her back on an erroneous and harmful model of assessing and treating children and adults for learning "dysfunctions" back in the 1970s and began researching alternatives.  She co-founded Power Traits for Life™ and LearningSuccess™ Institute, where parents and teachers learn to drop destructive labels, such as dyslexic or ADD, and coach all kids for real learning success.
