In 2013, the police in Iceland shot dead a citizen for the first time in it's history. The national police commissioner apologised to the family of the man immediately, because this type incident just doesn't happen in the land of fire and ice. Murder and violent crime is very rare. So when a 20 year old woman's body is washed up on the shore just eight days after going missing, the whole county goes into shock.
