Adam Rix is the creative director of NOT Wieden+Kennedy. In our conversation, we discuss the launch of NOT, the history of Wieden+Kennedy and the founders’ mission to create advertising that moves people.
We also discuss client relationships, overcoming procrastination and the importance of company culture. Adam also reflects on the pros and cons of working as a freelance creative versus being at an agency, and shares his experience of transitioning from hands-on design roles to managerial ones within the agency.
We finish our conversation with an emphasis on the importance of creating work that connects emotionally with people and is relevant to culture.
