It’s the dawn of the disco era and the Godzilla franchise decides to change direction and leave behind the golden era of Toho with a psychedelic avant-garde film that’s equal parts environmentally-charged horror flick and Saturday morning superhero kids show. It’s a story of unproduced sequels, appendectomies, and a brash director that dared to make Godzilla fly. It’s 1971’s Godzilla vs. Hedorah!
