YHS on Monster Island XTRA: Does Valley of Gwangi "Dig Deeper"?

"The Mayor of Toku Toy Town" Jay Key goes solo to tackle the 1969 Ray Harryhausen classic, The Valley of Gwangi, and attempt to overcome his decades long indecision about the merits of this plucky little film. We get dinosaurs battling cowboys, dinosaurs battling dinosaurs, dinosaurs battling elephants, dinosaurs eating evil gypsy dwarves, cinema's longest roping scene, a former Miss World runner-up, and an Eohippus. I mean...come on! Gwangi's influence is far reaching, there is no denying that, but does it hold up today? And why is Jay reviewing it anyways...this is a kaiju podcast, not a dinosaur podcast?
