The BIG AUGUST comes to an explosive finish with 1955's The Big Combo, directed by Joseph H. Lewis and starring Cornel Wilde as Police Lt. Leonard Diamond with Jean Wallace (married to Wilde at the time - the couple produced as well), Richard Conte as the very memorable villain Mr. Brown, Brian Donlevy, Lee Van Cleef, Earl Holliman and Helene Stanton.
