Tune in to Episode 13 of the PA Talks series with Ma Yansong, the founder and principal of MAD Architects. Ma is the first Chinese architect to win an overseas landmark-building project. Ma holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Yale University. His interests lie in exploring contemporary architectural design with regards to eastern values of nature, resulting in complex geometries. Parallel to his design practice, he also explores the cultural values of cities and architecture through domestic and international solo exhibitions, publications, and artworks. MAD has yielded a series of imaginative works including Absolute Towers, Harbin Opera House, Hutong Bubbles, and Chaoyang Park Plaza. I hope you enjoy the podcast.
