Tune in to Episode 35 of the PA Talks series with Alper Derinbogaz, a Turkish architect and the founder of Salon Alper Derinbogaz, an architecture studio that is based in Istanbul. Alper investigates the possibilities of the physical environment through the potential relationships between space and time. His design varies in scale from museums to installations, intending to uncover and question the essential elements of the given site. Derinbogaz graduated from Istanbul Technical University and received a Fulbright scholarship for his master’s degree in the Architecture and Urbanism Department at the University of California, Los Angeles. He represented Turkey in the 14TH VENICE BIENNIAL International Architecture Exhibition in its debut year of the Pavilion of Turkey in 2014. Derinbogaz has gained many awards and recognitions including Archdaily Best Young Practices In 2020, Good Design Award in 2018, A+ Architizer Award 2015, and many more.
