In 1975, Raymond Moody coined the term Near-Death Experience in his book Life After Life, which has sold over 13 million copies. Raymond has heard thousands of accounts of near-death, shared-death and after-death experiences and his interest in the afterlife has become such a focus of his life’s work. Raymond has both a PhD in philosophy and an MD and has had a strong interest in how medical realities intersect with the ineffable realm of philosophy. Raymond is the author of multiple publications, professor, public speaker and grief counsellor. Throughout his five-decade career, he has explored themes related to the trans-personal aspects of death, dying and grief. His book Glimpses of Eternity discusses the phenomena of shared-death experiences. His inquiry into past lives in detailed in his book Coming Back and share methods for evoking the dead, from Ancient Greece to modern times, in the book Reunions. Raymond’s PhD in philosophy focuses on unintelligibility and his latest book, Making Sense of Nonsense discusses what nonsense teaches us about consciousness and altered states of being.
