We spend the holidays appreciating the modules that everyone forgot, Utilities! Whether it be mixers, multiples, vca's, lfo's, or any other mundane function in your case, know that it has a special place in your patch. Also, enjoy some Eldritch Christmas music in this episode!
This episode we dive deeper down the rabbit hole of using your modular as an effects processor, this time with outboard gear like tape loops and drum machines.
Welcome to the very first episode of Patched! a modular synth podcast hosted by Tom Davis. In this episode we dive into the Basimilus Iteritas Alter by Noise Engineering and create evolving drum grooves as well as some very interesting synth voices with this versatile module.
This episode we explore the insanely popular Rings module by Mutable Instruments. Don't expect your typical mellow ambient jams (though it does kind of start out that way....)
This episode we jump blindly into a subtractive synthesis patch.
This episode we dive into the morphagene by Make Noise and experiment with using lfo's as a way to generate melodies with the Klavis Twin waves.
We go through two patches revolving around using effects in interesting ways. Also be sure to check out my friend's podcast The Short Box Podcast for all your pop culture needs!
