In the early morning hours of July 29, 1995, 13-year-old Thad Phillips was unexpectedly abducted from his home by 17-year-old Joe Clark, a local teenager who had stealthily infiltrated the Phillips' residence. Thad, who had been peacefully sleeping, was jolted awake and taken by his captor. Over the next two days, the young boy endured unimaginable suffering as Clark subjected him to a harrowing ordeal of brutal and systematic torture. Clark's actions were meticulously planned and executed, leaving Thad in a state of constant pain and terror. This period of captivity was marked by a series of vicious assaults, each one more horrifying than the last, as Clark revealed the depths of his sadistic tendencies.
