Ep.28 Wildlife Assist - Dr John Martin (Hollows As Homes, RBGS / Wildlife Assist)

22 min • 31 januari 2021

In our second episode with Dr John Martin of the Hollows As Homes project with the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney ( transitioning to the Wildlife Assist project in partnership with a range of organisations around Australia including Taronga Conservation Society), we're releasing a chat John and I had before our Trees As Habitat interview actually began. He's speaking about his work as an ecologist, including how flying foxes might adapt to heat pressure and how water sprayers may or may not be helpful, what a "bioregion" is, as well as some of his thoughts on what we need to be keeping in mind moving forward in Aussie ecology.
