Plus, hear who won the summer crossbook bet between Jeremy Becker and Landon Tice, High Stakes Poker returning to PokerGO next week, and how WSOP Paradise champ Stanislav Zegal failed to sell his championship bracelet in an attempt to raise money for charity, which in turn led to a talk about the value of a bracelet nowadays. On a positive note, Patrik Antonius became the 2024 inductee into the Poker Hall of Fame. See pictures and a video of the Finnish pro accepting his Poker Hall of Fame trophy.

In the 846th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Kyna England are joined at Level 9 Studio by PokerNews Pennsylvania Ambassador Keith Becker, who served as special co-host to talk about the latest happenings at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
That included a controversial hand from Day 3 that some viewed as an angle and/or scummy, as well as the wild seven-bet bubble hand on Day 4. What two hands could inspire two big stacks to get 120 big blinds all in preflop on the money bubble? Find out here. The trio also take a look at the WSOP Main Event payouts and how they compare to past years, which former Main Event champs lasted the longest, and how both Mo Nuwwarah and Josh Reichard took pre-tournament misfortune and used it as motivation to make a deep run into Day 5.
Chad also shares why he was inspired to turn extra links from his WSOP gold bracelet into a pair of gold earrings, while Keith talks about his life in the Keystone State, which includes a successful Twitch stream. As a matter of fact, he even streamed from the recently completed Global Poker x PokerNews Cup, which crowned a pair of Freeroll Finale Champions.
Finally, hear about recent WSOP gold bracelet winners including Garth Yettick, Carsten Heidemann, Matthew Alsante, and Chance Kornuth, who took down Event #85: $1,000 Flip & Go for his fourth gold bracelet. Hear from Kornuth himself in our winner's interview. Oh, and don't forget your regular $25K Fantasy update.

In the 843rd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Kyna England are joined at Level 9 Studio by Joey Ingram, who served as special co-host to talk about the latest happenings at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as his new partnership with GTO Wizard.
The biggest story is that of Scott Seiver, who captured his third bracelet of the summer and became just the seventh player in history to win three bracelets in the same year. Could he make history by becoming the only player to win four? He has two more weeks to do it. Despite winning three bracelets, you might be surprised to learn that Seiver is far from a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year; in fact, Jeremy Ausmus, who hasn't won a bracelet this summer, isn't too far behind in points thanks to a bevy of final table appearances. Would a non-bracelet winner winning POY over a three-time winner cause a controversy? The crew discusses that very possibility.
Chad then shares pictures and videos from the exclusive Global Poker party that took place at PokerGO Studio on Sunday night, while Ingram opens up about all things GTO Wizard. As usual, you'll also get your dose of other WSOP bracelet winners and a $25K Fantasy update. Oh, and did we mention talk about Daniel Negreanu, Nick Schulman, and Phil Ivey? Because that's all in there too. A new PokerNews Podcast will drop twice weekly during the 2024 WSOP every Tuesday and Friday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. In the 840th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by Kyle Anderson and Connor Richards at Level 9 in Las Vegas and talk about the latest from the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and about the highly-entertaining Hustler Casino Live (HCL) 'Legends of the Felt' live-streamed cash game.
Highlights include a cooler flop between the NBA's Jimmy Butler and Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr., professional streamer Richard Tyler Blevins (AKA Ninja) slow-rolling boxer Ryan Garcia, and an insane hand involving Neymar Jr. and Alan Keating that saw more than $300K change hands after the river was run out an astounding eight times! You have to believe it to see it.
Meanwhile, the WSOP rolled on by crowning a plethora of bracelet winnings including Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen, who not only won the $100K High Roller but went on to nearly take down the $250K Super High Roller in a week most players can only dream of. Speaking of that SHR, Santhosh Suvarna defeated Ben Tollerene to take down that tournament for $5,415,152 and his second gold bracelet.

In the 839th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, host Chad Holloway is joined by Kyle Anderson and Connor Richards at Level 9 in Las Vegas and talk about the latest from the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and about town, including the much-talked-about 15-way chop in the Wynn Summer Classic Ladies Event.
Speaking of ladies, one was kicked out of a WSOP tournament as seen in a viral clip circulated on social media, but Phil Hellmuth wasn't around to see it as he took a break to head north to Montana for a family wedding. However, he soon returned to Las Vegas and immediately made a run at bracelet No. 18.
Speaking of bracelet runs, the son of 2005 WSOP Main Event Joe Hachem nearly followed in his father's footsteps by capturing WSOP gold. While he fell one spot short, Daniel Hachem's run is still one of the most heart-warming stories of the 2024 WSOP thus far. Plus, learn about recent bracelet winners such as James Obst and Magnus Edengren, the "Studs & Duds" from the $25K Fantasy league, and remembering bracelet winner Matthew Parry, who unexpectedly passed away this week.
Finally, Chad wrote a poker history piece involving David Sklansky, who is looking to sell a pair of rare 1982 WSOP gold watches and a look ahead to next week's $600 PokerNews Deepstacks Championship bracelet event.

In the 829th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by PokerStars, Chad Holloway, Mike Holtz, and Kyna England are back at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to talk about Doug Polk being denied a new poker room in Texas. Check out some highlights and clips from a city council meeting in which Polk went to the podium to plead his case. While some respected what he had to say, some poker players like Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen and Matt Waxman were critical of his motives.
Speaking of Polk, he indicated he might be available to participate in Hustler Casino Live's (HCL) $1,000,000 Cash Game at the end of the month after Ethan "Rampage" Yau dropped out. The latter, who has been on a downswing and recently admitted to shedding tears over a $550K loss, caught some flack for pulling out after asking fans to buy pieces and was the subject of a negative video released by Alex Duvall. Find out what the crew thinks about Rampage's current predicament, including a World Series of Poker (WSOP) challenge issued by Holtz.
Also, learn about Sofie Dossi contorting herself at the Celebrity Poker Tour Invitational III, which was won by Katie Thurston for $20,000, as well as hearing from PokerNews Ambassadors Keith Becker (Pennsylvania) and Kyle Anderson (Ontario). Finally, the crew remembers two-time bracelet winner & music icon Steve Albini, who unexpectedly passed away earlier this week.

In the 828th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by 888poker, Chad Holloway is back at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas alongside regular co-host Mike Holtz, and for the second week in a row, Lindsey Kludt filled in for Kyna England, who does make a camera appearance from the RGPS Reno alongside ring winner Liam Gannon.
The crew then talked “Texas” Mike Moncek winning $200K on Hustler Casino Live (HCL) with an 89% VPIP while showing an entertaining $201,000 pot from the game. That led to a discussion on chopped pots, which in turn led to talk of High Stakes Poker and Andrew Robl. Is he possibly the best poker player of all time? Is he a first-ballot Hall of Famer? Those questions are answered in this episode.
Other stories covered include Nick Yunis abandoning his stack to make the birth of his first child, Chile's all-time money list, and why Lindsey has never set foot in Florida and Mike hasn't been there in 20 years. Hint -- it involves alligators!
From there, Chad hosts the second edition of "Which Phil Is It?" in which Mike and Lindsey take turns answering trivia questions involving six Phils from poker -- Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Phil Laak, Phil Galfond, Phil Gordon, and Philipp Gruissem
Finally, you'll learn about the brand new emoji options in the PokerNews live reporting updates and a new documentary featuring Lukas "Robin Poker" Robinson from the WPT Voyage.

The triumvirate discusses football/soccer superstar Neymar making headlines for playing online poker during a child's birthday party, for which he received a good amount of criticism. But was it warranted?
Chad then pays homage to Poker Hall of Famer Crandell Addington, who recently passed away. In the 821st episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Mike Holtz & Kyna England come to you from Level 9 Studios in Las Vegas to discuss the latest poker news, stories, and gossip. That includes the recent drama surrounding Tom "durrrr" Dwan, who recently talked to PokerNews in a 45-minute in-depth conversation about debt allegations recently leveled against him by Peter Jetten and Haralabos Voulgaris.
Suffice it to say Dwan didn't give very clear answers. Some say he spouted a word salad to most of the questions, and our crew took a look at some clips and offered their thoughts. We also asked Dwan point blank if he's ever been kidnapped by the Triads, an urban legend of sorts in the poker world.
Mike and Kyna then talked about their respective tournament successes since the last show, which led to a larger talk about women in poker and how the industry sometimes struggles to market to such a large segment of the population. From there, it was on to a discussion about the recent uptick of poker-related names venturing into the reality TV space including Boston Rob Mariano, Brantzen Poker, and Athena Jett.
Finally, the crew touched on Kevin Martin's 24/7 stream while attempting to win $5,000 playing online and close it out by offering their thoughts on the often-critical Allen Kessler.

On this special episode of the PokerNews Podcast sponsored by 888poker, Chad Holloway goes one-on-one with Shaun Deeb, who accepted a $800,000 buyout in his $1 million body fat prop bet against Bill Perkins.
Nearly 11 months ago, the poker players agreed to a 14-month wager on Deeb's ability to bring his body fat composition down significantly. The bet had essentially no stipulations -- either get to 17% body fat by the start of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), or lose $100,000.
Last month, Deeb gave his X followers an update on his progress, and it was certainly positive in his favor. A January 25 Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scan showed his body fat had dropped to 23.9% with still four months to go. That caused Perkins to begin proposing potential buyout possibilities on X, although nothing had been officially agreed upon.
