Do you ever feel like your prayers hit the ceiling? Like God is silent in response to your prayerful pleas?
What if what we think is God’s silence is actually noise pollution--a cacophony of sounds surrounding us that drowns out His still small voice?
This week, we’re exploring the “S” in the REST acronym: “Seek God’s Stillness,” as we pray through Psalm 131.
I encourage you to take time each day this week to practice seeking God's stillness, perhaps even listening to this episode multiple times. Though it may be hard at first, being still with God becomes easier with practice, just like any other skill.
As we learn to be still, we may discover that what we thought was silence was really God’s soft whispers all along.
This episode is based on the Prayers of REST Bible study (available on Amazon here) and is made possible by generous listeners like you. To support this podcast and spread the good news of Jesus around the world, go to patreon.com/prayersofrest to become a monthly Prayer Partner today.
Until we meet again, may you rest in God’s loving presence.
