Vogue stylist Philippa Moroney on creating iconic covers and her unique creative process.

46 min • 5 mars 2022

Ever wondered how some of Vogue's most iconic covers come to be? Ask Philippa Moroney - Vogue Australia's Senior Fashion Editor and Market Director.

Philippa's time at Vogue has seen her create some of Australian fashion's most recognisable editorial looks of the past decade.

In this episode, host Arielle Thomas goes deep with Philippa - a seasoned stylist who's worked with the likes of Christine Centenara and styled celebs like Awkwafina - into the genesis of a cover shoot, her creative process (from how she conceptualises a shoot to what inspires her and the vibe she creates on-set) and how she's navigated the changing nature of the industry in the past two years.

You'll hear from Philippa about how a friend's entrepreneurial venture led to her discover styling as a career, how any given issue of Vogue is approached, planned and executed, what she sees as Vogue's overall purpose and responsibility, and how her 4 year-old daughter is her go-to beauty guru.
