Poison Ivory is a recording and performing artist (vocals, guitar, songwriter, arranger) fusing Alternative, Trip Hop, Reggae, and Blues. Known for her unique vocals, satirical tongue-in-cheek lyricism, and visual storytelling, shue is also a painter and designs her own merchandise and clothing line. She attribute’s her unique perspective from growing up as a minister's kid around her father's West Hollywood ministry to the homeless. She got her start performing at the tender age of 5. At the age of 11, she performed for over 2,000 people singing gospel with Barbara Streisand for a Bill Clinton fundraising gala. She signed in 2012 with Sony ATV Publishing and independently executive produced and released an EP, The Filth. With over a million streams on Spotify and views on Youtube, the EP was an organic success and caught the attention of notables like Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Willow Smith. She also released a mix-tape with shock radio personality Charlemagne Tha God. She was offered a contract by Chris Brown’s label, and has enthusiastic fan bases in the U.S., Japan, and all over South America. She will independently release her newest mix-tape “Life is a Trip,” dedicating the project to her tragically slain #1 fan, Alison Hartley from France. Poison Ivory also owns a brand that produces murals and merchandise for indie and major artists - Art Poison World. Her mission - to help encourage and create a world where people can love each other and still be their authentic selves. Poison Ivory is also a cancer survivor.
