Nick talked about recording awesome drums, and guitars capturing a performance, and how to comp the best vocals.
My guest today is Nick Worley a musician, engineer, who grew up in Nashville around recording studios. His father Paul was a session guitarist, producer and studio owner. He built a one-car garage in East Nashville into a tiny home studio and began recording bands at night and on the weekends while working at Blackbird by day.
In 2017, Nick and his friend from Blackbird, Leland Elliott, had the opportunity to combine their gear and experience and move into a building within the House of Blues studio complex. There, they created their own vibey recording facility, Weatherman Sound, where they currently record music of a variety of genres.
