Legendary Cinematographer Roger Deakins & Director John Crowley Talk The Goldfinch

Director John Crowley and Cinematographer Roger Deakins join the show to discuss their work on The Goldfinch. They get into the approach of adapting a highly regarded novel, what it was like on set when Deakins won his first Oscar for Blade Runner 2049, and the process of casting.

Before we get into that though, we talk about the recent report that Robert Downey Jr. will show up as Tony Stark in Black Widow (starring Scarlet Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour). Spoiler: the guys aren't all that happy about it. We also talk about IT Chapter 2's (starring Bill Hader, James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain) box office, and the prospect of a third movie in the franchise.
