Law and Grace
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." - John 1:17 KJV
The actions of God giving the Law of commandments to Moses was recorded in detail in the book of Exodus.
"And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them." - Exodus 24:12 KJV
Moses received the law and commandments from God on Mt. Sinai after The Exodus from Egypt.
But precisely when did grace and truth come by Jesus Christ? At His birth in Bethlehem? Sometime during Jesus’ 3 year ministry? At His death on the cross? Perhaps at His resurrection from the dead?

I want to define and answer the prominent arguments against the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and also show why there is so much confusion regarding the topic.
Here are the objections I will discuss:
1. No Clear Scriptural Support
2. The Second Coming and the Rapture Are Not Separate Events
3. The Church is Present During the Tribulation
4. The "Last Trumpet" Contradiction
5. The Wheat and Tares Parable (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43)
6. The "Day of the Lord" Includes the Tribulation
7. The Historical Church Did Not Teach a Pre-Tribulation Rapture
8. The Purpose of the Tribulation Includes the Church
9. The Resurrection Timing in Revelation 20:4-6
10. The Call to Endure, Not Escape
11. The "Hour of Testing" in Revelation 3:10 Refers to Protection, Not Removal
12. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb Timing Issue
13. Paul’s Warnings About the Antichrist Refute Pre-Tribulationism
14. Old Testament Patterns Favor God’s Protection in Tribulation, Not Removal
15. The Wrath of God and Tribulation Are Not the Same
BreadofLife.media
The concept of the last days Tribulation period stems from a literal interpretation of certain Bible passages, particularly in the books of Daniel, Matthew, Revelation, and other prophetic passages. The first mention of the last days Tribulation is found in the following verse:
"When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them." - Deuteronomy 4:30–31 KJV.
That is also the first occurrence of the word “tribulation” in scripture. Notice that it refers to a specific time of trouble for Israel in the “latter days.”

In this study I will show you two examples of how Jesus rightly divided the word of truth, the Bible. In Luke chapter five, Jesus attended a banquet in His honor given by Levi (aka Matthew), a tax collector Jesus had just called to become His disciple and follow Him. There were many other tax collectors and friends of Levi attending the celebration including some scribes and Pharisees watching from a distance, always seeking to find fault and accuse Jesus and His newly called disciples. We pick up the narrative in Luke chapter 5 verse 36 as Jesus began to teach via two short, easily overlooked parables.
"And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old." - Luke 5:36 KJV
As with all parables, Jesus illustrated a deeper spiritual truth; in this instance using a clothing metaphor.

Every person, except Jesus, born from Adam to the end of the Millennial Reign of Christ will spend eternity in one of three everlasting realms:
1) The earthly realm.
2) The heavenly realm.
3) The lake of fire.
Each of the three destinies has a clearly defined group that will inherit that realm and dwell therein for eternity. Let’s examine each of these three realms in detail. What saith the word?

I continue to receive questions pertaining to the grafting of branches in Romans chapter 11. Many try to force application upon us, the church, the body of Christ, claiming that we are grafted into Israel, or that we are spiritual Israel, or that we, the church, have replaced Israel. However, none of those popular explanations are true. Remember, a text taken out of context, separated from its co-text, becomes a pretext: a falsehood designed to obscure the true meaning, to deceive others in support of a false doctrine. Many pastors and teachers do this because they have been deceived by false doctrines and traditions of men taught at Bible colleges and seminaries. Since many false doctrines permeate Christian theology, we must always be prepared to correct our thinking based upon the word of God. But that’s difficult because it’s much easier to deceive someone than to convince them that they have been deceived. Pride is a hindrance to acknowledging one’s deception.

Scripture Paradox – Acts 3:21 and Romans 16:25
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter. Welcome to my video podcast, where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian tradition with Bible truth. I let the Bible speak for itself. I want to thank all my supporters for your prayers and support. May the Lord richly bless you in all that you do!
The first passage was spoken by the apostle Peter at the Temple compound, the day following the feast of Pentecost, which was recorded in Acts chapter two. Peter addressed the Jews gathered at Solomon’s porch and spoke the following in Acts 3:20–21 KJV:
"And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."
The second passage under consideration was recorded by the apostle Paul in his epistle to the believers at Rome:
Romans 16:25 KJV - "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,"

During His earthly ministry, Jesus promised that he would build a church, an assembly of believers. Many today believe Jesus was referring to us, we who are being saved during this present dispensation of grace. But is that true? Was Jesus referring to us, the church, the body of Christ, or did he have some other group in mind? Let’s begin our study in Matthew’s gospel.

"For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." - 1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter. Welcome to my video podcast, where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian tradition with Bible truth. I let the Bible speak for itself. I want to thank all my supporters for your prayers and support. May the Lord richly bless you in all that you do.
Overall, having the mind of Christ brings transformation, blessing, and abundant spiritual life to believers as we seek to live in alignment with God's will and purposes. It enables us to experience the fullness of life that Christ offers and to fulfill our calling as His disciples. May the Lord richly bless you on your journey.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" - Ephesians 1:3 KJV

Here is a brief outline of how I will discuss salvation during the 7-year Tribulation.
1. Current Gospel of Grace – how we, Jews and Gentiles, are saved today prior to the Tribulation.
2. The Tribulation – How long and for whom?
3. Jews – how are Jews saved during the Tribulation?
a. The gospel of the Kingdom
b. Law of Moses
c. Perseverance of the saints
4. Gentiles – how are Gentiles saved during the Tribulation?
a. Convert to Judaism
b. Everlasting Gospel
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter.
Welcome to my video-podcast where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth. I let the Bible speak for itself. We all have family, friends, and acquaintances that are not saved and would not go up in the rapture. They would be left behind to endure the calamities of the Tribulation. It will be critical for them to know how to be saved during those horrendous 7 long years. That’s why I created this booklet. Give a copy of this post to all those in your circles of influence. Some may balk at first, but just tell them read it when the time is right. They will know when the right time comes.

As Christians, we have all heard comments and questions about those in the world that have never heard the gospel, never heard the name Jesus, and never seen a Bible. You know, the indigenous people of Outer Mongolia, sub-Sahara Africa, and Papua New Guinea. We certainly know those people exist and many others that have populated geographically isolated regions. For discussion purposes, I will call those people “the separated”, those having never seen or heard any aspect of Christianity.
The questions that arise are like the following:
Do “the separated” have any way to be saved?
Are “the separated” all bound for hell?
How does God deal with “the separated” while they are alive?
What sort of judgment awaits “the separated” after death?
The Holy Spirit gave me the answers to those questions while reading Psalm 19.

Some common sayings among believers are:
“There is only one gospel, and everyone is saved the exact same way.”
“Jesus’ 12 disciples and Paul preached the same thing.”
“Paul comes along later and merely picks up where Peter left off taking the same gospel to the Gentiles.”
Those sayings may sound spiritual, but are they true? Let’s review some scriptures to answer that question.
1. To whom did Jesus and His 12 disciples minister?
2. What gospel did they preach?
3. To whom did Paul minister?
4. What gospel did he preach?

In this video, I will answer the previous questions by explaining walking in the Spirit and how to do it.
Let’s begin with a popular verse from Romans chapter 8.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." - Romans 8:1 KJV
Christians live their daily lives in one of two modes. Either we gratify the desires of the flesh or follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. To walk simply means to live, referring to our daily lifestyle, the things we do day in and day out. We walk indulging the desires of the flesh or after the desires of the Spirit. Those are the only two options. Every Christian does one or the other. But there's another aspect in the above passage, one of condemnation.
The Christian who lives in the spirit suffers no condemnation. But the reciprocal is true for the Christian who lives gratifying the flesh. They will suffer condemnation at the judgment seat of Christ with loss of reward, more on that later. Please understand something right from the beginning. The passages I cover in this study speak to Christians. They do not contrast Christians with the ungodly lost. But contrast spiritual Christians with carnal Christians, Christians that operate in the flesh as babes in Christ. Paul spoke the following to the Corinthian believers:
"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ." - 1 Corinthians 3:1 KJV
Carnal Christians concern themselves with fleshly desires. They continually seek sensual things gratifying their five senses and appetites. Yielding to the three primary sources of lust: the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, carnal Christians succumb to the seduction of evil. Condemnation from the Lord awaits them at the judgment seat of Christ.
Spiritual Christians follow the Spirit and word of God. Spiritual blessings and rewards await them at the judgment seat of Christ.
Let’s create a list of characteristics of the flesh contrasted with characteristics of the spirit based on several Bible passages beginning with what we read from Romans 8:1

In this video, I will answer the previous questions by explaining why right division is so vitally important. I will examine five critical elements of right division essential for your spiritual maturity and edification.
1. Truth
2. Gods’ approval
3. Salvation
4. Eternal Security
5. Our destiny
Each of these elements is fundamental to your correct understanding of God’s word. Lacking comprehension in these five areas fosters the miss-application of scripture, acceptance of false doctrine, reliance on denominational doctrines and traditions, and reliance on pastors and teachers resulting in fear, confusion, and misplaced trust.

What is a Biblical mystery?
Why was it kept a mystery and not part of prophecy?
What are the mysteries revealed by Jesus Christ to the apostle Paul?
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter. Welcome to my video podcast, where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth. I let the Bible speak for itself.
Since all scripture is given by inspiration of God, then we need to let God speak through His word. Sadly, most Christians redefine or reinterpret the Bible to match their mind. But scripture says to transform our minds to match God’s word, the Bible.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." - Romans 12:2 KJV
We are to renew our minds to conform to the Bible. Not redefine the Bible to conform to our minds. We renew our minds by the continual study of God’s word. The battle today is for control of the mind. Whatever controls your mind controls your life.
What is a mystery in the Biblical context?
A Biblical mystery is "hidden wisdom" previously unrevealed or kept secret. Paul writes in 1st Cor 2 verse 7;
"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:" - 1 Corinthians 2:7 KJV
Romans 16 verse 25;
"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began," - Romans 16:25 KJV
Ephesians 3 verse 9;
"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:" - Ephesians 3:9 KJV
Colossians 1 verse 26;
"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:" - Colossians 1:26 KJV
The mystery of the church, the body of Christ, was hidden in God the Father until the appropriate time for its revelation to the world. That moment came to Saul of Tarsus after his Damascus Road conversion. The mystery of the gospel and dispensation of grace to save Gentiles created in the mind of God before the world began was finally revealed to Saul, our apostle Paul, through whom the church, the body of Christ began.

The Apostle to the Gentiles. The Apostle Paul
**Note** Be sure to watch the last list item #10 as that is the most important.
Was Paul a mere man?
Well, Yes and No. Yes, Paul was a man in the flesh. And No, Paul was also a prominent spiritual leader in God’s plan for the ages. We’re going to look at several passages about Paul and make a list from scripture of God’s purpose for Saul of Tarsus, the apostle Paul.
But first I want to say this. We do we worship Paul! We worship the risen, glorified Lord Jesus Christ, Period.
We do not worship Paul, in fact we worship no man after the flesh, not even Jesus. Let me explain.

What commonality do Matthew chapter 24, Mark chapter 13, Luke chapter 21, and Revelation chapters 6 through 19 share?
There is much confusion swirling around these passages. They are all New Testament passages but do they relate to the church or Israel, the Rapture, or the Second Coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the 7-year Tribulation?
We’ll take a quick look at each of these passages to discover if they relate to the church or something else.

Is the Church the Bride of Christ?
Can we be both the body and the bride of Christ?
Has God been symbolically married in the past?
From where did the notion of the church being the bride of Christ arise?
I will answer these questions in this video-podcast.
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter.
Welcome to my video-podcast where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth.
We let the Bible speak for itself.
For my entire Christian experience, I’ve been taught, as you probably were too, that we the church, the body of Christ, are also the Bride of Christ. Preachers and teachers refer to the church as the Bride of Christ dogmatically, as a pillar of our Christian faith. I never seriously questioned that doctrine even though I could find no scripture passage from Paul, our apostle, calling us the Bride of Christ. In fact, the phrase Bride of Christ, is nowhere in the KJB.
So, let’s look at the passages used to support the idea that we, the body of Christ, are also the bride of Christ.
Remember, the Bible is our source of truth, not the teachings of men nor church tradition.

One taken, one left
The Wheat and tares
The Sheep and goats
You’ve probably read the passages in Matthew chapters 13, 24 and 25 pertaining to those events, but what do they mean and when do they take place.
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter.
Welcome to my video-podcast where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth.
We let the Bible speak for itself.
Jesus had something to say about the traditions of the Pharisees.
"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. ... Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." - Mark 7:9, 13 KJB
The same applies to the church today. We have church traditions being passed off as Bible truth and if you question those traditions, you are called a heretic. But those bogus traditions have the same affect as the traditions of the Pharisees, they make void, “none effect,” the word of God. Those that believe and promote church traditions over Bible truth negate the scripture and its power to change the lives of those that believe in Jesus. An example of bogus church tradition is our first passage, the one taken and one left, supposed by many to be the Rapture.
Let’s read the “one taken and one left” passages in Matthew chapter 24.
But before we get to that passage, you need to understand Matthew chapter 24. Jesus was giving a prophecy briefing to His disciples on the Mount of Olives. They asked Him “what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3.
From verse 4 through verse 28 of chapter 24, Jesus gives a high level overview of the conditions and events of the 7-year Tribulation. Verses 29 through 31 declare Jesus second coming at the end of the Tribulation. From that point on through the end of chapter 25 Jesus describes events that accompany His return using both narrative and parables.
So, Matthew chapters 24 and 25 pertain to Israel enduring the 7-year Tribulation and the judgments that follow Jesus’ return.

3 Reasons Why Christians Don't Understand Bible Prophecy!

2nd Thessalonians Chapter 2 – the Great Apostasia.
Does a great falling away from the faith precede the 7-year Tribulation?
What is the meaning of the phrase “Day of Christ?”

We let the Bible speak for itself.
Let’s begin in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 1 through 3.
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" - 2 Thessalonians 2:1–3 KJV
The two often misunderstood phrases in that passage are the “day of Christ” and a “falling away.”

1. To end the dispensation of grace and return to the Law of Moses.
2. To preach the gospel of the Kingdom again in all the world.
3. To commence the 7-year Tribulation for Israel.
4. To pour out the wrath of God and the Lamb
5. The marriage of the Lamb

Who are the 24 elders of the book of Revelation?
Do they represent the church, the body of Christ, Israel or something else?
We are introduced to the 24 elders in Revelation Chapter 4. They are also mentioned in chapters 5, 7, 11,14 and 19. It’s interesting that we read about the 24 elders nowhere else in the Bible. Which means that their identity should be obvious needing no explanation.
The 24 elders are sitting on thrones before the Throne of God. For centuries believers have asked, "Who are the 24 Elders?" What is the significance of the number 24? And, do they have any application to the church, the body of Christ?
The word “elders” is found 179 times in the King James Bible mostly referring Israel. The apostle Paul uses the term only twice in his epistles with reference to the local church, not heavenly places.
Church tradition holds that these 24 elders represent the church. If that is true then the number 24 should have some significance to us, the body of Christ.

Romans 12
The apostle Paul opens this chapter with a peculiar charge.
Verse 1.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." - Romans 12:1 KJV
Paul charges those at Rome to present themselves to God as a “living sacrifice.” What is a “living sacrifice?” Those Jews and proselytes understood the Jewish sacrificial system of presenting an animal to the priest to be killed as a sacrifice to God. But a “living sacrifice” is a new concept. A living sacrifice is a life presented to God, offered to do His will fulfilling His purposes. A life of continued service, not a one-time sacrifice. Paul adds that a life of continued service to God is your reasonable duty. A living sacrifice is a sacrifice of service as the Lord Jesus Christ made the once for all sacrifice for sin on Calvary’s Cross.
I have said from the beginning that the intended audience of Romans was Jews and proselytes. But there is much truth in Romans, as in every book of the Bible, for us to learn. The previous verse is a good example. Even though a Jew would better understand, as they were in a sacrificial system. We Gentiles can see that we must surrender to God in service. Seeking His will for our lives by walking in the Spirit. God has a plan for our lives and we should seek him daily. Just because a book of the Bible was not written directly to the church, the body of Christ, does not mean that we should ignore it. On the contrary, every book of the Bible has spiritual truth for us to glean. The entire Bible was written for us, but not to us. That’s important to remember.

I continue with the same question; Who is Paul writing to in Romans 9 thru 11?
Church tradition has Paul writing to Christians. But is that true?
We read in Romans 9 verses 3 & 4 that Paul is writing to his “brethren” his “kinsmen” in the flesh, Israelites.
Paul affirms his intended audience again here in the first verse of Romans 10.
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved." - Rom 10:1 KJV
Remember, Paul is writing about Israel. He is not writing about the church, the Body of Christ. Paul is writing to the little flock believers in Rome. Jews and proselytes following their Messiah Jesus and considering themselves under the law of Moses. Also, Paul seems to have expanded his audience to include all the Israelites in Rome. Keep this fact in focus. If you try to apply chapters 9 through 11 to us, the church, you will immediately encounter problematic passages that are contrary to us being under grace and possessing eternal life.

Who is Paul writing to in Romans chapter 9?
What is he writing about?
Most pastors and teachers will tell you Paul is writing to and about Christians. But is that true?
Let’s let the apostle Paul answer that question.
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter.
Welcome to my video-podcast where we expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth.
We let the Bible speak for itself.
Let’s get right into the text to answer the question of who is Paul writing to and what is chapter 9 about.

Why is the Church, the Body of Christ, in such a mess?
How did the plethora of church traditions begin?
Are the church fathers to blame?
Having a shallow understanding of the Bible, most Christians do not recognize the state of confusion and doctrinal disarray within the Church. Even those with some insight do not understand how or where the flawed church traditions originated.
Well, let’s find out.
First, we must understand the clear distinction between us, the Body of Christ, the Church in this present Dispensation of Grace; God’s program to save Gentiles contrasted with Israel’s Kingdom program.

Parable of the Ten Virgins
Do the ten virgins represent the church, the body of Christ, or Israel?
What is the significance of the lamp oil?
Why were the five foolish virgins excluded from the marriage feast just because they were late?
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter. Welcome to my video-podcast where I expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth. I let the Bible speak for itself.
The parable of the ten virgins found in Matthew chapter 25:1-13 is a much-misunderstood parable. Many so called prophecy experts interpret the parable as a stand alone passage without asking some simple basic questions that should be asked and answered with every passage of scripture.
1. Who is speaking?
2. Who is the intended audience?
3. What is the timeframe or setting?
Only by correctly answering these questions can one make proper application of the passage.
Let’s read the passage, then I will answer the three questions.
"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." - Mat 25:1–13 KJV

Matthew 15
Is Jesus speaking to us, the church, the body of Christ, in Matthew 15?
What was the true earthly ministry of Jesus?
As a general question about the gospels, Is Jesus speaking to you in the red letters?
Greetings, I'm Dr. Paul Felter. Welcome to my video-podcast where we expose church fallacies and flawed Christian traditions with Bible truth. We let the Bible speak for itself.
As always, I put to practice the apostle Paul's command in 2nd Timothy 2:15
“Study to show thyself approved of God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Two keywords in that passage; “study”, we are to study the word of God not just read it. And, “dividing”, the proper method of study is to divide the word, not harmonize it. We are to divide truth from truth. There is a body of truth for Israel and a body of truth for the body of Christ in this present church age, the dispensation of grace. Mixing and mingling Israel truth under the law of Moses and our truth under grace causes much error, misapplication of scripture and false doctrine.
There are several interesting passages in Matthew 15, but the account of the Canaanite woman is most interesting to me as it reveals the true purpose of Jesus’ ministry.

Romans 7 - How to Live in the Spirit, not the Flesh
Have you ever wondered why some believers stumble, even though they have the best of intentions?
They make promises fully intending to keep them, but repeatedly fail. Many view this as a character flaw, and it certainly is, but the source of this shortcoming goes much deeper.

Here in Romans chapter 7 the apostle Paul addresses the problem of believers repeatedly stumbling and falling into sin or saying one thing and doing another. Paul continues explaining the law and its relationship to sin and the believers at Rome.

Romans 6
Have you ever noticed that many people are confused about grace, thinking it a license to sin, even though the Bible clearly teaches otherwise?
Some say since we are not under the law, we can do whatever we like, grace covers it all.

Here in Romans chapter 6 the apostle Paul answers the question of how we should live under grace. Is it a license to sin or the path to holiness? Paul begins in verse one by asking the relevant question.

Have you ever noticed that many pastors, teachers and TV preachers add conditions to salvation by grace even though the Bible states salvation is by grace through faith alone?
Some say that you must stop sinning before you can be saved. Others say that you must do good works to maintain your salvation, or be baptized, or speak in tongues to prove you are saved.

Here in Romans chapter 5 the apostle Paul continues the doctrine of justification by faith alone. Paul opens verse 1 with the word “therefore” referencing passages from chapter 4 about the justification of Abraham by faith alone.
BreadofLife.media
Romans 4
Have you ever wondered why so many Christian denominations add good works to salvation by grace, even though that’s not what the Bible teaches?
Most pastors, teachers and TV preachers are taught denominational doctrines and traditional Christianity even though Jesus told the religious leaders of His day that they make "the word of God of no effect through your tradition" (Mark 7:13).
Jesus also said, "you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition." (Mar 7:9)
Does that sound like Jesus honored their religious tradition? No, Jesus abhorred their tradition as it nullified the word of God.
The same thing happens today in churches across America. We have replaced Biblical truth with bogus church tradition and denominational dogma. Hence, the word of God has little to no effect.

The apostle Paul opens with the word “Therefore” referring back to chapter 1 and the conditions of the foolish having a reprobate mind. Since man knows his evil deeds and the judgment to come, Paul declares that man is without excuse. There is no excuse acceptable to God for unbelief.
Paul then introduces the notion of hypocrisy into the discussion.
Also, keep in mind that Paul is addressing Jews and proselytes who are under the law of Moses and believe that Jesus is the Messiah to Israel. Paul is not speaking to Christians as we will see as we progress through the chapter...

The book of Romans was written by the apostle Paul from Corinth, Greece while on his third missionary journey around 58 A.D.
When Paul wrote this epistle, he had yet to visit Rome, but was planning a stop there on his way to Spain, a journey he never made.
The founder of the assembly of believers at Rome is unknown. Tradition has it that Peter started the church at Rome, but history and the scriptures prove that to be a myth. There is no evidence that the apostle Peter was ever in Rome.
Paul states in Romans 15:20 that he would never build on another man’s work.
"Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:"
In 33 A.D. a number of Jews and proselytes lived in Rome. Many traveled to the feast of Pentecost in Jerusalem described in Acts chapter 2:10 where Peter states that some of those present were strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes.
Since three thousand Jews believed and were baptized at Pentecost that day, it’s safe to assume some were from Rome. When they returned home, they told other Jews and proselytes of their experience at Jerusalem and that Jesus Christ was the long-awaited Messiah of Israel.
Obviously, many Jews and proselytes believed in Jesus as Messiah of Israel because that is the group to which Paul is writing.
Chapters 1 through 8 of the book of Romans are a transition from the basic view of God as creator in chapter 1, then to the law given to Moses, finally to the doctrines of grace given to Paul beginning in chapter 3. Paul wants to move the believers in Rome, who believe they are under the law of Moses, hence proselytes, to being under grace without the works of the law. So, knowing this is critical to your understanding the first eight chapters of Romans. The transition is from simple obedience to God, then the law of Moses, and finally to grace given to the apostle Paul. Today, we do not live via simple obedience to God as He is not speaking directly to anyone like He spoke to Noah or Abraham. We also do not live today by keeping the law of Moses as we are not under the law but under grace...

Is the Church the Bride of Christ?
I was taught from childhood, as you were too, that we the church, the body of Christ, are also the Bride of Christ. Preachers and teachers refer to the church as the Bride of Christ dogmatically, as a pillar of our Christian beliefs. I never seriously questioned the doctrine even though I could find no scripture passage from Paul, our apostle, calling us the Bride of Christ. In fact, the phrase Bride of Christ, is nowhere in the KJB.
In Rev. chapter 19 we read the phrase “marriage of the Lamb.”
Revelation 19:7-8 KJV - "Let us be glad and rejoice and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."
Interesting that just 3 verses later the Lord leaves heaven on a white horse and comes to earth to rescue and redeem Israel leaving us, the church, in heaven. Perhaps He is going to rescue the real bride, Israel.
BreadofLife.media
The book of Acts is a transition from Peter and the little flock that believes in Jesus as the Messiah of Israel to Paul and the body of Christ that believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the gospel of grace, for salvation. Both groups believe in Jesus, but each has a different gospel. This is where many Christians get confused. They think it’s all the same program, but it is not. That’s why you must rightly divide the word of truth.

Greetings, I'm your host, Dr. Paul Felter.
In this podcast series we put to practice the apostle Paul's command in 2nd Timothy 2:15
Study to show thyself approved of God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Only through right division will you properly understand the Bible, the Body of Christ; our purpose, our destiny and our uniqueness in all of Scripture.
In this episode I’ll discuss the first three chapters of the book of Revelation. Chapters 2 and 3 of the book of Revelation contain the 7 letters to the 7 churches.
Most commentators and commentaries will state that these 7 letters are to us, the church, the body of Christ and they try to apply the instructions in those 7 letters to us today.
But were those 7 letters written to us, the body of Christ, or to Israel?
As we study these books, the answer will become obvious. We just need to let the Bible speak for itself.
Again, in episode 4 we read in Galatians Ch. 2:6-9 that Peter, James and John are apostles to Israel. Israel is their intended audience of their ministry and their writings. That applies to the book of Revelation as well.
