On this week’s Tuesday rewatch episode of 'Roger (Ebert) & Me,' join Brett Arnold and guest co-host and film critic Alan Zilberman, as they introduce you to the Disney-era of 'Siskel & Ebert.'
This third iteration of the program was titled 'Siskel & Ebert & The Movies' and was later shortened to 'Siskel & Ebert,' the title that has stood the test of time.
This episode covers Stanley Kubrick's 'Full Metal Jacket,' which Gene recognized as a masterpiece and Roger did not, 'Spaceballs' from Mel Brooks, 'Benji the Hunted,' and Steve Martin in 'Roxanne,' his take on Cyrano de Bergerac.
Two additional Stanley Kubrick films are highlighted in the 'home video' highlights section at the end of the episode: the incredible 'Paths of Glory' from 1957 starring Kirk Douglas and 'Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb' from 1964.
