Peter Finnell suffered E. Coli, Sepsis, and Acute Septic Shock following failed colon surgery. During his Near Death Experience he left his body and went through a black doorway. He soon found himself on top of a stone wall overlooking purgatory with a white light at the other end. He felt the pain of suffering souls, then glimpsed, in the light, a society without pain or anguish. Peter took this experience as a warning; the old Peter died and a new Peter was born.
