This week aboard Voyager we welcomed @ElenaundBen for drinks, a couple from Germany I met whilst feeding some stray cats by the boatyard trashcans. They have a brilliant story of how they met and started their life together on the water.
Also Chris from @SailHub provided entertainment and technical assistance, we did another podcast which will be on Chris's channel soon also about Cats VS Mono's

This week im having a chat with Hannah Goldberg from the popular TikTok profile of Hannah Sailing
Hannah was brought up between Holland and the United States and began sailing at a young age at summer camps and by the time she became an adult had a bunch of experience on the water.
After spending time in Los Angeles with her family, working multiple jobs and seeing little left after all the bills had gone out to save up for her cruising boat he decided to sack off the routine and begin travelling full time by sailboat, picking up deliveries here and there aswell as some extended trips and ocean passages with fellow cruisers.
In the process Hannah has clocked up some pretty impressive miles in a really short space of time and taken on some tough passages aswell as setting up a social media platform that is inspiring the younger generation of nomads to take up sailing as a means of travelling the world.
Hannah is now about to embark on her largest passage to date on a true 50ft blue water cruising boat leaving from Mexico heading to French Polynesia.
If you want to follow Hannah on Social Media check her out on TikTok and Instagram at Hannah Sailing

This week im having a chat with Laura Dekker from the Laura Dekker World Sailing Foundation
Laura made the history books back in 2010 when at the age of 14 she became the youngest person ever to attempt to sail around the world. It took place after a long fought battle with the Dutch government and became international headlines sparking a global debate, surrounding parental rights.
Laura was born and grew up on the water and her father being a cruiser himself taught her how to manage and maintain a vessel from being a child. She worked and saved up enough to buy a Jeanneau Gin Fizz Ketch fixer upper named Guppy and spent years with her father getting the boat ready for the voyage.
In 2012 she completed the journey becoming the youngest person to solo circumnavigate the planet

It has been a year and a half since we did the first podcast with Ryan and Sophie and a lot has changed for them, They have done some more ocean crossings with a full Atlantic circuit, performed a bunch of upgrades to their boat and Ryan has completed a pretty dramatic solo Atlantic crossing east to west from the canaries to Cape Verde then to the Caribbean. They are now in the process of planning a refit on their boat to sail north for next season through to the Great Lakes.
Most notably they have developed an online training course for new and experienced sailors with the travel company Bright Trip called Sailing The World. They have spent over a year researching, preparing and filming for the course encapsulating all of the lessons they have learned crossing oceans and cruising the med and the Caribbean.
If you want to check out their sailing course visit their website ryanandsophie.com and click on “sailing course” in the navigation bar where part one is now available. If you want to follow their journey visit their YouTube channel which is called Ryan and Sophie Sailing.

This week on The Ocean Cruisers podcast I’m having a chat with David Shih
David was cruising around the USA living van life when him and his wife decided to buy a boat.
They chose to go with the Lagoon 450 and unfortunately were the victim of the bulkhead and structural beam situation.
David decided to take the boat to Panama to meet up with his friend who was already fixing up his boat with the same issues.
He then spent over a year on the hard in Panama re-building his boat back to a safe standard, and probably now sails, the strongest Lagoon ever built.
We also did a recording with David for the admiralty show talking in more details about the re-build so check that out on YouTube if you want to know more.
