Scared To Death

Ghost Ship

79 min • 9 september 2020

"Then, he felt the air around him get heavier and heavier until it no longer felt like air at all. It felt like water. It felt like he was drowning."

A quote from today's first tale. Our first story centers on the haunted history of the RMS Queen Mary - supposedly the world's most haunted ship, currently operating as a hotel in Long Beach, California. How many spirits from its days as a transatlantic liner still haunt its labyrinth of cabins, hallways, and various decks? Our second story is all about "La Pascualita," the world's most infamous mannequin. Is the mannequin possessed? Is it the corpse of a long dead bridal shop's daughter? After these two creepy stories, Lynze shares some intense listener tales of encounters with the unknown.

Opening Sumerian protection spell (adapted):
"Whether thou art a ghost that hath come from the earth, or a phantom of night that hath no home… or one that lieth dead in the desert… or a ghost unburied… or a demon or a ghoul… Whatever thou be until thou art removed… thou shalt find here no water to drink… Thou shalt not stretch forth thy hand to our own… Into our house enter thou not. Through our fence, breakthrough thou not… we are protected though we may be frightened. Our life you may not steal, though we may feel SCARED TO DEATH."
