Melissa Navia (On an emotional scene in season two
it was so interesting because as I was shooting it, it was incredibly emotional and a bit terrifying. And
so you're pulling from what you know, from your own life, and you're also then pulling from your
character's life. And it was absolutely wild. And our crew and our cast are so supportive and wonderful.
Celia Rose Gooding
I would say the beautiful thing about Trek is that it's found a way to tell very specific stories, but have sort of a theme that can reach globally and everyone can take something away from an episode of Trek at any given moment. But I would say the current theme of hope is something that everyone can look forward to. And I think that's why Sci-fi is so interesting.

"Previs is kind of the starting point. The storyboards give you a sort of rough idea, the previs gives you a slightly better rough idea, but that kind of really informs the story that you're trying to go for. So it kind of gave us the grounding
then to say, okay, we know the type of location. It's a snowy environment, or it's a desert scene."

"The main thing that I took from Magel's character and also from Majel herself, I think, is that she is, like,
she's pretty Badass, like, the way that she got her way into Star Trek and what she wanted for Nurse
Chapel, which probably wasn't fully satisfied."
Babs Olusanmokun (On being physical)
"Just to be clear. Intellect plus physicality, just to be clear. Yes. Right. Yeah. No, it's exciting. It's exciting,
it's lovely, it's dynamic and it's interesting and it's kicking ass. But there is more under it than just
kicking ass. It's protecting those around him. It's protecting his shipmates.
