Many parents of children with Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS), Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS)or complex behavioral issues often feel overwhelmed, as their child’s brain and behavior seem stuck in overdrive. In such situations, natural solutions are often overlooked. However, it must be emphasized that there are powerful, natural solutions that can offer a much-needed reset for the brain, helping children find balance and relief, addressing underlying issues in a way that medication alone often cannot.
In this episode, we'll talk more about how utilizing these three natural remedies for PANS/PANDAS or complex behavioral issues can provide significant support in regulating the brain and nervous system. By focusing on solutions that work with the body’s natural processes, we can help children experiencing emotional and behavioral struggles find balance, calm, and stability.

Children with PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome), PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections), mood disorders, or complex behavioral challenges often struggle with underlying biological imbalances that affect their nervous system, immune function, and overall well-being. While no single approach works for every child, targeted supplements can play a vital role in supporting their health, reducing inflammation, and promoting better emotional and cognitive regulation. That's why it's important to carefully consider supplements that are tailored to address the specific needs of each child.
By choosing supplements that align with the child’s unique challenges and needs, parents can create a supportive environment that enhances the child’s ability to manage their symptoms. So make sure to stick with me in this episode and explore how specific supplements can make a significant impact on managing PANS, PANDAS, mood or complex behavioral issues.

Psychiatric medications are often prescribed at an alarming rate. What people don’t know is that while these medications may provide short-term relief, they don’t always address the root cause—especially in complex conditions like PANS and PANDAS. In many cases, these medications come with significant side effects. If we truly want lasting healing, we need to look beyond symptom management and focus on addressing the underlying factors that drive these conditions.
By shifting our focus from masking symptoms to true healing, we can help children and families break free from the cycle of these conditions. In this episode, we'll talk more about why psychiatric medications are often a short-term solution rather than a true fix, the risks and side effects that parents need to be aware of, and why addressing the root cause is key to long-term recovery.

The onset of PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections) is influenced by an interplay of various factors, making it a challenging condition to fully understand and manage. These factors exacerbate the symptoms and contribute to the unpredictable nature of flare-ups. That's why there's a need for us to have a comprehensive understanding and a holistic approach when it comes to dealing with PANS/PANDAS and providing support for our children.
In this episode, we’ll dive deep into uncovering the causes behind PANS/PANDAS onset and trigger flares. By exploring these underlying factors, we can better equip ourselves to recognize, address, and manage PANS and PANDAS more holistically. This will help us develop a deeper understanding of the condition and enhance our ability to support our children.

As parents, we want to ensure that our children are getting the right support, especially when they face complex challenges like PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections) or mood and behavioral issues. These conditions can be overwhelming, not just for the child but for the whole family. The impact of a strep infection on a child’s brain can lead to sudden and severe changes in behavior, making it even more important for parents to be proactive in understanding their child’s needs. That’s why it's essential for parents to be on the same page and work together when it comes to being actively involved in their child's care.
In addition, maintaining your own mental health is crucial in ensuring you can support your child effectively during this challenging time. When parents collaborate and share a clear understanding of how these conditions affect their child's behavior, it creates a more stable and supportive environment, which is vital for the child’s well-being and long-term progress.
It definitely makes a great difference when parents work together—when they get informed, show up, and support each other. How to work together as parents to support a child with PANS/PANDAS or mood or complex behavioral issues is crucial for creating a unified approach. Family members can also play a key role in providing support and understanding. So let’s talk about those steps to get there, because your child deserves a team that’s in sync.

Parenting a child with PANS/PANDAS, mood, or behavioral challenges can often feel overwhelming, especially when dysregulation takes over. Dysregulation doesn’t just affect the child; it creates a ripple effect, impacting the entire family dynamic. In these situations, it’s easy to get caught in a cycle of reactivity, where frustration and confusion take the place of connection and calm.
Learning how to regulate your child’s nervous system while staying calm yourself can break this cycle, allowing you to better support your child and regain a sense of balance in your home. So make sure to stick with me in this episode, as we dive into quick and effective techniques to calm your dysregulated child.

One of the pervasive issues I get asked about a lot is misdiagnosis, especially when it comes to conditions like PANS, PANDAS, ADHD, and mood disorders. These diagnoses can be incredibly tricky because their symptoms often overlap, such as anxiety, emotional dysregulation, irritability, and even inattention. For many, this overlap tends to cause confusion, delaying the right interventions and often worsening their struggles.
In today's episode, we'll talk about the differences among these conditions to help parents better understand what’s happening with their children. By identifying the specific signs, triggers and patterns unique to each, parents can make more informed decisions about their child’s care.

When a child experiences constant dysregulation, severe anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, or school avoidance, it’s easy to link these challenges to conditions like ADHD, anxiety, OCD, or autism. However, there’s another possibility that often goes overlooked: Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus (PANDAS). These conditions, triggered by infections or underlying inflammation, can closely mimic the symptoms of these other diagnoses, leading to frequent misdiagnoses and delays in getting the right help.
Recognizing the signs early could make all the difference. That’s why this episode is so important—it sheds light on how PANS and PANDAS can often be mistaken for other conditions, and how understanding the link between dysregulation and these disorders can help guide parents toward the appropriate interventions.

Parents are often divided on when to consider non-medication approaches over traditional medication for their children. For some, the idea of trying anything other than a prescription feels risky, while others worry about relying too heavily on medication without addressing the root causes. What’s often missing from the conversation is a balanced look at the science behind both options.
Let’s cut through the confusion, follow the science and give our kids the foundation they deserve. It’s time to explore options that align with your child’s unique needs and empower you as a parent to make informed choices.

Sometimes, our children seem to be caught in an endless loop, where progress feels fleeting, and the same struggles resurface again and again. In the world of PANS/PANDAS, OCD, and flares, this cycle can feel relentless. Just as one flare subsides, another seems to take its place, leaving families feeling like they’re constantly dealing with a storm that never fully clears. Families often find themselves trapped in a cycle of managing symptoms, calming meltdowns, and addressing new challenges, without ever feeling like they’re truly moving forward.
There's a way to break the cycle and this starts with understanding it. And while it’s tempting to look for that one magic solution, real progress comes from a comprehensive approach that addresses the body, brain, and emotions together. Let’s dive into what it takes to disrupt this cycle and create the lasting change your child and your family deserve.
Not all forms of magnesium are created equal, and the one you choose can make a significant impact on your brain and behavior. Different forms have varying levels of bioavailability, meaning some are more easily absorbed and utilized by your body than others, affecting how well they work to support your health. That’s why it’s important to prioritize magnesium supplements that emphasize quality, purity, and potency as high-quality products are formulated to ensure maximum absorption, avoiding fillers and additives that can reduce effectiveness.
I’m joined by Scott Emmons, the co-founder and COO of MD Logic Health, for this episode, and we’re diving deep into the fascinating world of magnesium and unlocking its secrets. If you’ve ever wondered why the right form of magnesium matters so much for your brain and behavior, you’re not alone. More often than not, when children mask their emotions too much, the pressure builds until it becomes unmanageable. They may appear calm and collected on the surface—getting through school or social situations without incident—but underneath, they are carrying a heavy emotional load. Over time, this emotional suppression can lead to meltdowns, often occurring in safe spaces like home, where the need to hold it all together finally gives way.
Understanding that these outbursts are not random but a release of accumulated stress helps us respond with empathy. This episode explores the common reasons why meltdowns happen to raise awareness about the hidden challenges children face and how we can provide them with meaningful support.

For many children, the school environment serves as a stage where they put on a strong facade, dealing with the complexities of social interactions, academic demands, and the expectations of teachers and peers. They learn to mask their emotions and manage their behaviors to fit into the structured routines of the classroom, often striving to meet the pressures placed upon them. However, once the school day ends and they return home, the walls they’ve carefully constructed throughout the day can come crashing down.
This is one of the most commonly asked topics among parents whom I encounter. That's why this episode delves into the complex reasons behind why children can hold it together at school yet seem to fall apart at home. By understanding this matter, parents can better support their children in managing their emotional worlds and foster an environment that encourages open communication and emotional expression.

Children’s behaviors can often shift suddenly and dramatically, leaving parents feeling concerned. One moment, a child may be engaged, playful, and eager to learn; the next, they might exhibit signs of frustration, withdrawal, or hyperactivity. More often than not, these abrupt changes reflect deeper issues within the nervous system, such as dysregulation caused by a variety of stressors.
That's why in this episode, we talk about how crucial it is to remain attuned to children's behaviors and recognize that sudden changes can often indicate deeper emotional or sensory challenges. By paying attention to these behaviors, parents and caregivers can gain valuable insights into what might be affecting their child's emotional state, allowing them to address potential triggers proactively.
There is no doubt that parenting in today's world is tough. In fact, 40% of parents feel so overwhelmed that they’ve shut down, and 48% feel like they’re barely holding on. That is why it is more important than ever to have a comprehensive understanding of how the nervous system works and how it impacts behavior and emotions.
When we know what’s happening inside the brain and body, we can better support our kids through those challenging moments. In today's episode, we’ll explore the intricate relationship between nervous system regulation and behavior, shedding light on how stressors affect our children's emotional responses.
Managing hyperactivity isn’t easy, and finding strategies to navigate it can feel overwhelming. Hyperactive children often struggle with impulse control, emotional regulation, and focus, which can make daily activities feel chaotic and frustrating. It can leave parents and teachers feeling exhausted, constantly managing behavior while searching for solutions that truly help.
With the right strategies, it's possible to create a more structured, supportive environment that promotes calm, improves focus, and strengthens emotional resilience. So join me in this episode as we explore practical tips for parents and teachers to navigate the challenges of hyperactivity.
Oftentimes, when children are overwhelmed, their emotional reactivity can manifest in various ways, making it challenging for them to navigate their feelings and behaviors. This heightened state of emotional response often leads to outbursts, shutdowns, or other dysregulated behaviors that can leave both children and their parents feeling frustrated and helpless.
Neurofeedback offers a way to train the brain to reduce emotional reactivity, even for those with a history of emotional challenges. And today, we’ll explore how this approach can improve not just emotional responses but also attention.

There has been a notable increase in the identification and diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). In fact, autism rates have skyrocketed from 1 in 10,000 in the 1970s to as high as 1 in 30—or even 1 in 20—in some regions today. This alarming trend raises significant concerns about the underlying factors contributing to these increases, as it suggests that a growing number of children may face challenges in their development and daily functioning.
There is, therefore, an urgent need for comprehensive research to explore the potential causes of this rise, as well as the development of effective interventions and support systems to assist affected families and ensure that these children can thrive in their educational and social environments. And today, I'm joined by the incredible Beth Lambert, director of the Documenting Hope Project, who is a passionate advocate for children’s health and a true pioneer in the field. Her dedication to uncovering innovative solutions for kids with autism and ADHD is nothing short of inspiring.

There are times when a child just doesn't seem to want to do anything, and it can be incredibly frustrating for both the child and the parent. That is why understanding this challenge is crucial. Today, we'll be addressing this challenge and exploring practical strategies to support your child in overcoming executive functioning difficulties. By implementing these approaches, we aim to improve their ability to initiate tasks, stay organized, and manage responsibilities more effectively.

Sometimes, we don’t realize that in some ways, we are already leaving negative impacts on our kids which then causes generational negativity in the long run. If we don’t break the cycle, our kids are likely to pass on similar negative behaviors to others and their own children as they grow up.

I like to tell everybody, “I'm science in the front and woowoo in the back”. I'm super spiritual. I believe in a lot of things, but I know you need guidance from science. What's amazing in this journey is I've been able to teach everybody what I've been learning for 32 years.

You won’t always be there for your kids and that’s a normal part of life, which is why you need to foster them with coping skills to further improve their stress tolerance as they gradually become more independent and learn to navigate challenges on their own.

Naturally, as parents, we want to protect our kids from anything that’s going to cause them discomfort or pain. However, sometimes, parents become overprotective that they wrap their kids in a bubble so they’d never experience any stress. As a result, their kids have little to no tolerance when it comes to stress.
In today’s episode, we’ll be talking about how to reverse bubble wrap parenting and help your kids develop resilience so that they can be stress slayers not just today but also in the future.
We also have to be consistent in reinforcing the behaviors that we want to instill in our kids. It's not going to be easy but then the great things in life typically aren't easy. For more information, you can read the following blog posts:

When children with ADHD experience hyper focus, they can become deeply engrossed in a specific task or activity, causing them to lose awareness of their surroundings. They might not even respond to their name being called.
This intense focus can result in a narrow focus of attention, leading to the neglect of some responsibilities, overlooking social cues, or failing to attend to their own self-care needs. That’s why we’ll be tackling all about hype focusing and ADHD in today’s episode and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of having an over focused brain.

When a child experiences dysregulation, their ability to regulate emotions, cope with stress, and maintain self-control can be compromised. Surely, most parents have asked themselves at some point, “Is my child’s anger normal?”
What we need to do is to help them be more focused and calm, which is why we’re focusing on whether or not your child’s anger is considered normal or is it a clinical issue.
We have to keep in mind, however, that these solutions are not going to be effective if we don’t show up constantly and if we don’t commit ourselves to it. Indeed, consistency is key.

At such a young age, kids normally tend to be inattentive or unfocused but when they become consistently fearful, anxious and avoidant, worsening their lack of focus, it’s time to consult a professional to check whether these kids have a clinical diagnosis of ADHD or anxiety.
These two mental health conditions often overlap significantly impacting an individual’s aspects of life. Proper diagnosis, however, is crucial to conduct the appropriate treatment. In today’s episode, we’ll be shedding light on these two mental health disorders.

Kids dealing with impulse control issues are prone to depression as they are constantly being told what is wrong about them and they are never told what’s right. These impulse control issues can affect various aspects of their lives, from school performance to social interactions.
As a result, many parents turn to medication because they feel like they have no choice but that shouldn’t be the case. In today’s episode, we’ll be talking about the strategies for impulse control and how we can help our kids put those brakes on.

Often, parents are left wondering what’s wrong with their kid when they have been crying too much or when they are being over-reactive. Many parents seem lost not knowing how to deal with their sensitive kids.
In our previous episodes, we’ve talked about how our kids are not doing these things on purpose. Rather, their brain is acting in a subconscious manner causing them to behave that way.
Lucky for you, we’re going to discuss parenting and over-reactive kids in today’s episode because if you don’t have your A game on, you’re in deep trouble.

Literacy remains to be a major issue in education, particularly in the Individualized Education Plan, in the United States. This is even more of a problem because of literacy difficulties associated with dyslexia.
Dyslexia greatly affects children’s academic development as they struggle with phonological processing, comprehension, and even spelling words. This can also affect one’s self-esteem because of feelings of constant frustration and other negative feelings.
We’ll be focusing on improving reading skills – brain training for dyslexia in today’s episode with Nancy McDermott, a fellow mother of a dyslexic, to help kids thrive especially in school. Frequently, our distressing thoughts may cause impulses, repetitive behaviors, or compulsions, leading to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). As a response to stress or other perceived threats or danger, we get anxious because of how uneasy we feel about some circumstances.
Many people get confused with the two disorders as they often go hand in hand. In today's episode, we'll distinguish OCD from anxiety to help everyone better understand the two mental health issues.

Early intervention is the key to addressing mental health issues, especially for children. However, some parents had terrible experiences seeking help from pediatricians because they were concerned about their children.
Also, some patients are hesitant to consult with their doctors for various reasons, including medical gaslighting. Sadly, some doctors blame or downplay the patient's health concerns or symptoms.
Such an encounter is frustrating. However, every parent should know how to handle the situation when the doctor gaslights their concerns, especially about their child.

With over 17 years of experience, my approach to therapy embraces an integration of compassion, intuition, and empathy, focusing on clarity and change. I help people to come out of the groove of old thinking and behavior.
I employ several therapeutic modalities throughout treatment, including cognitive, behavioral, and psychodynamic therapies. In addition, I use Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Hypnotherapy to access your subconscious and the deeper part of you where fear, phobias, trauma, and maladaptive coping strategies such as alcohol dependency, and other addictive behaviors reside.
No good teacher uses one approach for every student. Therefore, I listen attentively and let you formulate your curriculum.
My Specialties include trauma & PTSD, addiction, co-dependency, personality disorders, bipolar depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders & phobias.
Medication should not be our first go-to solution. More natural treatments for autism and ADHD are available for us and our children that have the same significant effects, if not better, than medication.

Parenting is one of the most significant factors that impact a child's mental health. Unfortunately, there's a tendency that your parenting skills can worsen your child's Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) or other mental health disorders.
There are cases when parents are unaware they are already contributing to their child's OCD. Thus, it's a must to educate parents about these things. Don't feed your child's OCD.
Let's flip the script and help parents understand that there are ways to improve their child's OCD.

More often than not, parents are warned how hard it is to treat cases of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). However, we’ve already established in our previous episode that we shouldn’t lose hope because there are solutions.
We also briefly mentioned that the best approach parents should do to help their kids is Exposure and Response Prevention. So if you aren't treating yours or your kid's OCD with this therapy, you're wasting your time.
Let’s dismantle all these reasons commonly imposed upon us about how people with OCD won’t get better because we can, in fact, get better with OCD.
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is said to be one of the most challenging mental health conditions to treat because it is treatment resistant.
To better understand what’s going on with kids struggling with OCD, we must first know how to provide them help, and how to get the best treatment. I’m here to help you dispel common myths and misconceptions about OCD.

If your anxious kid has been going to therapy for a long time but it seems to be ineffective, then your kid might be suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and not anxiety.
OCD and anxiety are two disorders that are closely tied to each other but at the same time, they’re different and separate from each other. And thus, the need to distinguish between the two since there’s not enough discussion about it when in fact, it’s important.

Most people think they know what obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is when they don't. Their misconception is that it's as simple as someone washing their hands to eliminate germs.
In a general sense, washing hands and constantly checking something are both manifestations of OCD. But what we don't talk about is fear which is at the core of OCD.
So this episode is crucial as we'll tackle everything about OCD for the first time in this podcast series.

1 in 2 kids in America has a physical or mental health problem. Although we should be worried about the effects of the diagnosis, there's nothing to be ashamed of when your kid is different.
As most people say, being different is good, and it's true because we have a diverse population. In scientific terminology, we have been using the term 'neurodiversity,' which we'll discuss further.

Previously, we’ve discussed how significantly important it is for kids to have great executive functioning skills. We’ve emphasized that when kids struggle with their executive functioning, they oftentimes have a hard time getting their emotions in check and accomplishing tasks.
Since we already learned the important things about executive functioning, the next thing we have to do now is to teach our kids how to have better executive functioning skills.

You can’t build a house without a good foundation and the same applies to executive functioning. The same way that a roof can’t go on the house without a good foundation. Many people struggle with accomplishing things and producing work even at the starting point.
It is thus important for us to discuss the foundational skills of executive function to know where we should start. It will also definitely help us reach higher level skills like writing and completing high level work.

One of the most misunderstood parts of the brain is in the frontal lobes where focus and executive functioning are both being managed. Though it may seem difficult to have a deeper understanding as to how executive functioning works, we have to try our best to avoid misdiagnosis.
Most kids experiencing executive functioning issues get misdiagnosed with ADHD and vice-versa. Thus, it’s crucial for us to understand the differences between these two.

Being organized and having a structure is beneficial even in daily activities that you do such as starting tasks and using up your working memory and this is what executive functioning is all about.
As emphasized even in our previous episodes, we’ve said that it’s a must for us to maintain our healthy brain and make sure that there’s a healthy balance of neurotransmitters that would help us process information easier and faster.
Let’s dive into the topic of executive functioning and know more about how this affects our kids’ mental health.

Sometimes, parents are left wondering if their kids have ADHD based on their behaviors but they’re not sure. Is that a normal thing or are we just expecting too much from our kids?
It’s understandable that we assume that they have ADHD when they show inattentiveness or they get unfocused when we’re trying to talk to them. But how do we know if it’s still normal behavior and when it’s already considered as ADHD?
And that’s what I’m here to do. I’ll point out the differences between the two and help you understand your kid’s behavior better.

When children are inattentive, unfocused, and unmotivated, parents sometimes wonder whether or not their child is acting that way on purpose. But that’s not usually the case.
There are many reasons behind a child’s behavior. Sometimes, their behavioral changes are caused by external or internal stressors whereas some don’t know how to cope with their feelings.
Hence, it’s necessary to enlighten parents and point out what's happening with their child and why they’re acting differently in relation to their mental health.

One of the most common questions from parents is centered on intermittent fasting and how it works. This is equally important as discussing mental health since our food intake affects our brain health too.
What you put in your mouth has an impact, whether positive or negative, in both our mind and body. And so, it’s good that a lot of people hear about it because of articles and posts circulating online.
Fasting is not something new but rather it’s been around for a long time. However, most people think otherwise. Thus, it’s best for us to shed more light on what you should do to maintain or reach a good health condition physically and mentally.

Medications are perceived as safe solutions, especially for various mental health conditions. Usually, when parents discover that their kids are struggling with their mental health, their primary solution is to have their kids take medications.
Like two sides of a coin, medications both have its pros and cons. The cons, however, are not entirely acknowledged or made known to patients and parents.
Research studies show that 100% of the time, your child will have a side effect from medications. These side effects are usually shown through your child’s irritability, sleep problems, and restricted eating.
So, despite many stimulants and psychostimulants, the brain is not going to work in its optimal condition. Thus, there’s a need to open that up for discussion and help you understand the reasons and repercussions why you shouldn’t medicate your child with ADHD, anxiety, or other mental health conditions.

Academic pressure has long been considered to be one of the contributing factors to poor mental health. That’s why there’s a need for us to talk about why we shouldn't use grades as the benchmark of mental health.
In the United States, the state of mental health is not looking good. A vast majority of kids are in conflict and dealing with a lot more stress and anxiety. There’s also a sheer increase in the volume of people taking medications for mental health diagnoses.
Yes, it’s that bad. So we need to stop putting so much pressure on students and stop regarding grades as the benchmark of mental health because they’re not.

For so long, mothers have been the CEOs of the medical, emotional, and even educational well-being of kids. But roles have changed over the years as the society and its norms and way of life continuously develop and become more progressive in different aspects.
Come to think about how women were wired and nurtured to be caregivers. During childhood, girls are given dolls, whereas boys are given balls and legos. So you see, even as young as that, girls are trained to be caregivers.
Kids need as much help and support as they can get from their parents. And so, you have to convince your spouse why and how to do holistic therapies like neurofeedback, psychotherapy, supplements, and many more that will be beneficial for your kids.

There are several questions all about neurofeedback coming in from families, providers, friends, and other people. This is a good thing because people want to know more about this innovative tool that has been such a game changer in mental health.
Let’s dive into some of the general and frequently asked questions about neurofeedback!
Do I need a QEEG Brain Map?
Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) is a good diagnostic tool as it somehow answers a lot of questions. However, I work with people remotely all over the world as not everybody can fly out to me or drive to me.
Data collection is necessary, and so, we collect data from certain regions of the brain and then make statistical comparisons. Some people use different formulas considering there are all kinds of formulas available. That might not reflect everything, though.

We share the same goal of parents for their kids. We want our kids - no matter what age they are - to get better and have good mental health. The good thing is that we don’t have to worry about that so much anymore because that’s what neurofeedback providers all over the world do.
Tens and thousands of research studies show the efficacy of neurofeedback. It just goes to show how much of a powerful, innovative tool it is. In fact, neurofeedback can be used even for those without any mental health issues.
In order for us to be able to assure ourselves, our kids, and our family that everything’s gonna be okay, we have to know what to look for in a neurofeedback provider. This is important to achieve the expected positive results that we want.

There are tens and thousands of research and peer-reviewed studies proving just how effective and useful neurofeedback is. And it's been around a very long time, since the 1960s.
However, neurofeedback as a standalone isn’t enough to create the lasting change that we want and expect. We have to follow what research tells us to prevent all our efforts and resources from going to waste.
And that’s what I’m here to shed light on. We’ll make sure that this game changer that has helped many of the families that I've worked with will also work for you, your kid, and your family.

More often than not, when kids are struggling with their mental health and parents help them deal with it, they think that medication is the best and the most appropriate remedy. And so, they opt for medication for their kids even without trying other treatments first.
You may think that medication is the only solution to change and alter the brain. However, in reality, there are many other options available for us without risking any of its adverse side effects.
A powerful and innovative game changer in the field of mental health that we should look into is neurofeedback. We’ll delve deeper into how neurofeedback therapy is a better and safer option than medication and how it changes the way the brain functions and even alters the brain structure.

Just because the teacher tells you to have your child medicated, doesn’t mean you should. Today, we’re going to find out exactly what happened in Gayle’s encounter with a teacher who advised her to medicate her children.
What were the symptoms that prompted the teacher to advise taking medication?
The teacher who confronted Gayle about her child observed that the latter’s child was struggling with comprehension and focus. Although this was a common struggle for most young children, it was more on an unusual level of slow comprehension and inattentiveness for the part of Gayle’s child which made it a concerning matter.
However, the immediate solution given by the teacher was medication which should not be the first thing to consider because it is actually violative of state law and also because there are other alternatives that are safer, more natural, and proven to be effective.
Even a quick search on Google will give you a list of alternatives although you have to be careful in reading through various articles and websites as there are misinformative posts online which you may come across.

QEEG or Quantitative electroencephalography is an important diagnostic tool that will help you better understand exactly what is going on with your child.
QEEG brain mapping greatly helps in identifying brain wave patterns and shows you everything that’s wrong with your brain. In relation to mental health, brain mapping detects neuropsychiatric disorders, dementia, brain injuries, mental health disorders, and more.
The changes in a child’s mood, behavior, and personality may be explained by the assessment from the QEEG brain mapping. Hence, it’s best to have knowledge about this diagnostic tool that will guide us in helping our children have a good mental health condition and ensuring that their brain functioning is better.

Neurofeedback has been a great game changer in mental health for a long time now. In fact, it has been around for over 50 years, and thousands of quality research studies prove this to be true.
It’s a good solution for our struggling kids as it calms the brain and creates positive behavioral changes. Identifying the clinical mental health condition of a child doesn’t even matter in neurofeedback.
As cases of children struggling with their mental health continue to increase, it’s best that we learn more about this game changer and understand what neurofeedback is and how it works in relation to mental health.

There’s nothing sadder than seeing or knowing a parent that has lost hope and given up on his or her child getting better.
Though it may be hard for parents to give up on their child, just imagine how it is for a child struggling with mental health. We have to keep in mind that these problems are not permanent and that everything’s gonna be okay.
We shouldn’t leave our children feeling alone and helpless. When these struggles overwhelm our children, there’s a big chance that they would slowly slip to a dark and emotional slope.

Parents are left clueless and even helpless at some point as the number of kids struggling with their mental health today is increasing at an alarming rate. Although, there is still hope for us and our kids. There are solutions available for us.
But the options we have are not one-size-fits-all solutions. What works for some may not work for others. We just have to be responsible in identifying which treatment effectively works best for our kids.
The remedies available are not just clinical therapies and medication; there are more alternatives for us out there. Let’s not limit ourselves to clinical options as healing may also be done naturally. And that’s what I’m here to shed light on.

Nowadays, kids as young as 2 to 3 years old are already struggling with their mental health.
Kids’ struggles vary, but one thing is for sure - there is a long list of struggles that kids face these days. Some examples of mental health struggles are attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, learning disabilities, and autism.
With such innocence and the lack of knowledge about many things, kids have no idea how to handle their emotions or how to cope with challenging moments in life.
As extreme as it may sound, some kids don’t take these struggles well. And when everything becomes too much to bear, suicidal ideations or suicidal risks will most likely increase.
But struggling is not permanent. We can and we will do something about it. And that’s what I’m here for - to empower you in resolving these struggles.

Children’s mental health is more important than ever!
One in two kids in the United States has a physical or mental health problem they are dealing with. Can you believe that 50% of school-age children today are dealing with a physical or mental health issue? That’s staggering!
The scary part of that statistic is the fact that it’s sourced from data that is 10 years old. Before the pandemic and before every child has social media accounts and smartphones in their backpacks, we were already dealing with a 50% rate of mental or physical health issues.
In fact, right now, according to the most recent data, 70% of parents admit that they are experiencing significant pandemic parenting stress. It’s no surprise with all that you are facing in your family, you and your kids are dealing with more stress than we have ever seen before.
The fact is we are facing challenges, but as I always say, “It’s gonna be OK!” None of the challenges are issues that we cannot resolve together, and that’s exactly what I am here to do!
