The Orkney Isles are a group of seventy small islands off the north coast of Scotland.
The largest of the islands is called Mainland and it is widely considered to be one of the most peaceful and idyllic places on Earth. But this hasn't always been the case. On 2 June 1994, a man walked into an Indian restaurant on the island and shot a waiter in the head at point-blank range... This was a crime that not only shocked Scotland, but the entire United Kingdom. And what followed in the aftermath has caused widespread debate...
