I've seen them once live, here in Germany, as Keith Caputo was still a male. For some reason I feel really close to him / her with this song. 

I did not have these neglection issues he / she had from his / her parents, but I had quite some issues with my parents growing up, so I feel the pain in the song and can sympathize. It is a great tune, even if I'm highly biased here again in my recommendation.
