Shellshocked Radio Talks & Music Recommendations
Hey Guys,
today a main staple of Gothic Culture. Silke Bischoff / 18 Summers - "On The Other Side", with it's, at least for me, very iconic beginning.
For me it opened up the world of Goth Culture as it lead me to explore the "Darker" Music a bit more.
I was simply not aware of all the "colours" ;) and contours of the dark/goth/black scene.
The band name of course comes from the tragedy of Gladbeck, where the 18 year old Silke Bischoff died by the hands of a robber.
So the plan of the band succeeded as they wanted to remember not the bad guy(s) but the victim.
They set her a musical tombstone, which stands to this day.
So, if you do not know the "Hymn" of the goth scene by now, check it out here:

It is an iconic song, not without it's flaws, but I still like it to this day, so I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
