Hi singers and performers! I am so excited to help you start singing with confidence so you can have more creative lives as performing artists!
This podcast is for you if you…
Wish you could start singing, acting, auditioning, and performing on stage with confidence.
Keep telling yourself that you’re going to get back into singing but never do.
Wish you had a creative outlet outside of your career and obligations, but are afraid people will judge you.
Want to start taking vocal lessons but don’t know where to start.
Want to start auditioning and performing in community theatre.
Want to improve your vocal range and sing better.
Want to gain confidence in your singing voice
Want to get over stage fright and your fear of singing in front of others
Want to do vocal warm ups and start voice training and ACTUALLY see a different in your voice.
I get it, because I’ve been there! Hi, I’m Estelle, a Professional Singer, Actor, and Voice Teacher for aspiring adult singers and performers in my online studio, Creatively Performing Arts. I also teach and music direct locally in North Carolina at various music studios and theatres!
I’m also a theatre kid at heart even in my 20’s! I grew up performing, but the world kept telling me to save the arts for retirement or the weekends because they aren’t “serious pursuits”. So I didn’t focus on growing those skills as much in college and struggled to feel confident in my love for singing and performing.
However, after college, I realized I had those creative gifts and passions for a reason. So, in spite of my fears, I decided to start growing my skills in singing, dancing, and acting! I began to build more confidence in my dreams and my voice as a singer over TIME.
I want to help you do the same – build confidence in your singing voice and performance skills, so that you can live out your creative dreams!
On this show, you’ll get beginner singing, performing, and creativity tips. You will learn how to sing with more confidence, how to train your voice, how to start performing on stage with confidence, how to go audition for community theatre and other shows, how to start singing at open mic nights and on social media, how to find ways to be creative every day, and MORE!
You’ll even get mindset tips to help you take action on your creative gifts in spite of imposter syndrome, self-doubt, rejection, and fear of what people think so you can finally start singing and building confidence in your voice!
With incredible, guests from Broadway performers to a Latin Grammy award winner, to local theatre and music artists, and my own current and past experiences, this will be your one-stop shop for all things singing, performing, and creative inspiration! Plus, you’ll hear lots of fun musical theatre references!
Alright choir lovers and theatre kids, this is your time. Start using your creative gifts again to sing with CONFIDENCE!

Today, I'm chatting about that fact that we are not alone as creatives and artists! I share what I'm learning in the season about saying yes to the right things and no to the "not right now things" to avoid overwhelm, as well as remembering to lean on other people and ask for help instead of going it alone. I also answer a question about learning and memorizing lines as an actor from a fellow actor/singer/dancer in the Performing Arts Community FB group! Listen in!

Hey hey! I am so thankful to you for being here!
Today's episode my interview with Pastor Lynn Bullock, a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and author of In The Beginning, God Created...Dance! In this interview, Lynn shares how she went from having little to no formal dance training until the age of 21 (it's NOT too late to start dancing!) to moving to New York, then back to the south, with God giving her opportunities to dance and teach all the while! She found ways to develop and use her creative talents, while sharing them with others! And she continues to do this, with her heart set on worshipping Christ through her dance and leading others in growing both their technique and relationship with God.
She will inspire you to:
- take bold steps of faith
- recognize the gifts God has given you and partner with Him to take action
- lead with curiosity, develop discipline, learn from others, and say no to fear
- make the most of each day
and more!
To connect with Lynn, email her at [email protected] or call/text her at 336-460-3826! AND be sure to grab her book, In The Beginning, God Created...Dance!

Hey Performers! I know what it's like to doubt your creative gifts as an aspiring singer, actor, dancer, and performing artist. I know what it's like to wonder if you're selfish because you're a professional actor or performer and you truly love your craft - but you wonder if the arts help other people.
Maybe you wonder if the arts are actually useful.
Maybe you feel looked down on because you're an artist.
I wanted to share some thoughts about the questions that might run through your mind when it comes to choosing to be creative!
Here’s a reminder that you don’t have to feel shame or selfishness over your creative gifts. Listen in and let me know what you think in our private Facebook group for performing artists to collaborate and connect!

And I talk about this from a personal standpoint, so we're spilling a little life "tea" 😉. It's hard to share openly about the mess in the middle of this creative journey, but I know if it can help even one person feel understood, then it's worth it. I can't wait to share more life updates with you along the journey, and I hope what I share today reminds you that you're not alone in this journey! So exciting! Beverly is a comedian, host, and content creator. Her short, comedic skits based on her Nigerian upbringing skyrocketed her platform with reposts by @KevonStage and @TheShadeRoom, but it didn't all begin there. Listen in to hear her story of becoming who she is today, what she looks forward to create in the future, and all the incredible advice she has to offer about letting God guide your path, choosing your creative passion with courage, setting boundaries, and being YOURSELF everywhere - including on social media. At the end, I also read a question from one of our listeners on creativity, followed by Beverly's answer. You will be SO blessed by Beverly, not to mention inspired to take creative action today!

--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/estelle-avbuere/messageYou can just start! I know it's easy to get bogged down with questions, insecurities, and - if you're a student like me - hours and hours of studying.
But, there is so much beauty in taking time for your creative gift by just starting to do whatever gift God has given you. Start small, but just start and be present, enjoying the process.
I hope this motivates you to make the time for that creative passion you have. Focus less on perfection, focus more on the process.

Practicality (prioritizing, time management, and making time to rest) and optimism (believing you can do what you've set your mind to, maintaining a positive mindset, and not letting outside voices get you down) go hand-in-hand for medical students, especially those with creative interests. I've learned this firsthand this semester. In this episode, I break down what each of these look like and how to balance both as creative medical students.
