Over 1,000 evangelical Christian leaders had a closed door meeting with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday, June 21. While this was an encouraging development, how much hope should Christians place in Mr. Trump as a defender of biblical values?
James Walker, president of Watchman Fellowship (www.watchman.org), was one of the leaders invited to attend. He shares his thoughts about the meeting and reminds us that politics, by its nature, cannot change hearts, and so Christians should not depend on the ballot box to solve spiritual problems.
