Slam the Gavel welcomes Judi-Beth Atwood, advocate for families going through the corrupt Family Court System. Judi-Beth is a protective parent seeking changes in the Colorado Family Court systems as well. She explains that Family Courts continue to value the rights and freedoms of abusive partners over a protective parent's fundamental human rights to live and raise their children in peace and safety especially in Weld County and Boulder Colorado.
Abusive partners are seeking joint or full custody as a means of revenge, punishment and continued control over domestic violence victims after previously sharing no parenting interest or responsibilities. In demonstrating absolutely no interest in doing so, the Family Courts' reckless dismissal and doubt of child physical and sexual abuse claims brought by protective parents.
Judi-Beth has spoken at the Colorado Legislators, joined in the United Nations Complaint against the American Family Court System and spoken at the Colorado Supreme Court. However, Judi-Beth believes her opposition to the current Family Court System has a lot more to do with her losing custody than anything else.
Speaking out on her own nightmare of Family Court and its disastrous effect it has had on her psyche and her health, Judi-Beth states that she will never ever give up on her children. She wants parents to understand that all it takes is a thought from someone who is not playing with a full-deck to put a parent out of their home/career.
